Wander along the Catalina foreshore to the waterpark, local pool, playground and skate park plus the Information Centre at the "mini mango" for all the red hot tips on what to see and do.

Up the street, less than 500m is the acclaimed Grand View Hotel where Baz Lurman's Australia movie was filmed, plus no less than three other pubs. There is a local IGA, bottle shop and takeaway's all close by.

FUN FACT Bowen Beach House's lower "bar room" was originally built by a Catalina pilot stationed in Bowen to protect our shores. It also has the first fresh water well sunk in the Bowen township in the early 1940's in the front yard on the left.
