Family Lodge in Aska: Mountain Views, Hot Tub, Waterfall & Kids’ Bunk Room

Welcome to Aska Overlook, a newly renovated mountain lodge set high above Blue Ridge, Georgia, in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area. Step inside and a soaring wall of windows frames long-range mountain views beneath a vaulted pine ceiling, with stacked-stone fireplaces on two levels. Step outside and nearly two wooded acres unfold around you: a cascading waterfall, a crackling fire pit, a hot tub refreshed for every stay, and decks dressed in brand-new Polywood furniture. Once you're down the mountain, downtown Blue Ridge is just five minutes away, and Lake Blue Ridge is even closer.

THE VIEWS
Aska Overlook earns its name. Long-range mountain views roll across the ridgelines in every season, and the whole cabin is designed around them. Watch the morning light reach the mountains from the great room, settle into an Adirondack chair at golden hour, and stay out after dark as the stars fill the sky over the ridges.

OUTDOOR LIVING
This is a cabin made to be lived in outdoors, across two wraparound decks and the grounds below.
- Brand-new POLYWOOD Adirondack chairs in several spots around the property, so there's always a seat with a view
- A POLYWOOD outdoor dining table and patio set for long dinners under the trees
- A brand-new hanging bed, made for afternoon naps and slow reading
- A Caldera hot tub that seats 7, tucked under a covered deck strung with café lights, and drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh water before every stay
- A covered front porch with a stacked-stone, wood-burning fireplace and TV
- Rocking chairs for slow mornings with coffee
- A fire pit near the cascading waterfall and its natural rock work
- Cornhole by the fire pit for friendly competition at sunset
- A gas grill on its own propane line, so there are no tanks to swap
- A Bluetooth lantern speaker for music by the fire

INSIDE THE LODGE
The main level centers on the great room, where a vaulted tongue-and-groove pine ceiling rises over a wagon-wheel chandelier, a stacked-stone gas fireplace, and a leather sofa and deep armchairs facing the view. Newly refinished hardwood floors run through the main and upper levels. A long farmhouse dining table with bench seating gathers everyone at dinner, steps from the kitchen.

Upstairs, a loft workspace with a desk overlooks the great room, a quiet spot for a call or a few emails.

The lower level is a second living space built for gathering: an oversized sectional, a second stacked-stone gas fireplace, a 65" Samsung Neo QLED TV with soundbar, and a wet bar with a sink and beverage fridge. Sink a few putts on the BirdieBall putting green by the windows, spread out a board game on the long game table, then step straight out the door to the fire pit.

THE KITCHEN
A fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, a granite breakfast bar with stools and stainless appliances. Every small appliance and all the cookware is brand new: brand-new GreenPan pots and pans, quality steak knives, a Keurig K-Duo coffee station that brews a single cup or a full carafe, hot or iced; a Ninja Flip toaster oven and air fryer; a Cosori air fryer; an Instant Pot; and a new KitchenAid dishwasher. Dishes and starter supplies of coffee, filters, salt and pepper, foil and wrap are ready for you.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS
Three bedrooms, an overflow sleeping room and three full baths sleep up to 9 guests, with a bedroom on every level.

Primary Bedroom (upper level): A king bed with a live-edge wood frame under a vaulted pine ceiling, soft sage-green walls, plush robes and a smart TV, with an en suite Primary Bathroom: double copper sinks on a wood-slab vanity, a soaking tub beneath the window and a separate walk-in tiled shower.

Guest Bedroom (main level): A rustic log king bed, natural pine walls, windows into the trees and a smart TV. The newly renovated Guest Bathroom, with a brand-new glass-door walk-in shower, is on the same floor.

Bunk Room (lower level): Made for kids, with a twin-over-full log bunk, floor lounge cushions, a 55" TV and a Nintendo Switch 2 with three Pro Controllers and Mario Kart World. A cozy kids' reading nook with a bean bag and picture books is close by.

Overflow Sleeping Room (lower level): Just off the Bunk Room, the "Little Bear Cave" is a former walk-in closet that now holds a twin-over-twin bunk under string lights. The Bunk Room Bathroom, with a tub and shower, is right next door.

Every bathroom is stocked with Beekman 1802 shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

ENTERTAINMENT AND COMFORT
- Six smart TVs, each with a Roku in Guest Mode so you can sign in to your own streaming apps
- A BirdieBall putting green, a Nintendo Switch 2, cornhole, and a big collection of board and card games
- Three fireplaces: stacked-stone gas fireplaces on the main and lower levels, on easy timer switches, plus the wood-burning fireplace on the front porch
- 1 Gig fiber internet with eero mesh Wi-Fi on all three levels, fast enough for streaming on every TV and video calls
- Washer and dryer, with detergent and dryer sheets provided
- Keyless entry, a Nest thermostat and ceiling fans
- Parking for up to 3 vehicles

THE LOCATION
Aska Overlook sits in Blue Ridge's Aska Adventure Area, between Lake Blue Ridge and the Toccoa River, an area known for hiking and mountain-biking trails, fly fishing and tubing. Once you're down the mountain, downtown Blue Ridge is about five minutes away, with its shops, restaurants, breweries and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Lake Blue Ridge is even closer, for a day of boating, swimming or paddleboarding on clear mountain water. And at the end of the day, the drive back up the mountain ends with the view.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Sleeps up to 9 guests. The booking guest must be 25 or older.
- No pets, no parties or events, and no smoking or vaping indoors. Smoking is allowed outdoors only, away from the hot tub.
- Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.
- The hot tub is refilled with fresh water before each stay. On same-day turnovers it may still be heating when you arrive, and we'll let you know when it will be ready.
- Please bring your own firewood for the fire pit and porch fireplace.
- This is black bear country, so please never leave trash or food outside. There's a bear-proof box by the driveway.
- Please keep the windows closed. They don't have screens, and with no roof overhang, rain comes straight in.
- After booking, you'll be asked to e-sign a short rental agreement covering these house rules and safety terms.
