Located 8 mins from App Ski Mtn, 0.1 miles from Tweetsie Railroad & 3-5 mins from Appalachian State, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mystery Hill, Tanger Outlets & more. This cozy cabin is the perfect jumping off point for zip lining, hiking, shopping, gem mining, restaurants, brewery's & wineries. We have IT ALL! A private creek with a swing, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, a game room, the perfect layout, and the ABSOLUTE BEST location in the High Country! Your family will make memories that last a lifetime here at your home away from home. We are VRBO Premier Hosts with fabulous reviews.

Popi's Porch features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a loft (sleeps 11):
- Main Level: fully stocked kitchen, living room, fireplace, full bathroom, bedroom 1 (Queen), bedroom 2 (2 sets of bunks; 3 twin beds and 1 full bed)
- Upper Level: Loft with pull out couch (Queen), TV & kids games, bedroom 3 (King), full bathroom
- Total: 6 beds + a sleeper sofa (maximum of 11 guests)
- Front porch with rocking chairs
- Back deck with hot tub, gas fire pit, picnic table and plenty of seating
- Downstairs game room featuring air hockey, ping pong, basketball and a washer/dryer
- Walk to Birdie's Coffee and Blue Deer Ice Cream from the cabin (Less than one mile walk via trail head at the bottom of Middle Fork Rd.)
- Beautiful creek + tree swing located within walking distance of the home, perfect for playing in!

- Our area averages 34" of snow per year, and we are minutes to the slopes, making it the perfect place for a ski weekend!
- We are located 0.1 miles from Highway 321, a well-plowed road in winter weather. During winter, 4WD is recommended and parking at the bottom of the driveway is encouraged. It is a very short walk up the driveway to the home. A snow shovel and salt are provided for renter use.

GUEST ACCESS: You will get a door code before check-in. No need to meet anyone for keys. You get the whole house to yourself. 4 vehicles max. There is parking for two vehicles at the top of the driveway and two vehicles at the bottom of the driveway. We are located 0.1 miles from Highway 321, a well-plowed road in winter weather. During winter, 4WD is recommended and parking at the bottom of the driveway is encouraged. It is a very short walk up the driveway to the home. A snow shovel and salt are provided for renter use.

HOUSE RULES: We love making memories here and hope you do too! Help us care for the home by following a few easy house rules:

* No pets (this includes emotional support animals)

* All renters and guests of renters must be ages 25+, with the exception of minor children visiting with family.

* Checkout is at 10:00am, unless a written exception is made with the homeowner prior to arrival. A late checkout fee of $100 per hour will be charged.

*A large exterior trash can is provided for renter use. Trash pickup services are provided once a week on Tuesdays. Trash can lid must be on and fully closed at all times. Please take any additional trash to the Aho Convenience Center located at 5645 US-321., Blowing Rock. A $50 fee may be deducted from your security deposit for any trash left outside the can OR trash that is placed in the can unbagged. All trash placed in the outdoor trash can must be bagged.

* No smoking anywhere on property (this includes electronic cigarettes)

* No parties

* Maximum number of guests is 11 (this includes adults and children)

* Firearms are not permitted

* Do not lean or hang on railings

* The fireplace is shut down from April 1 to October 1

* Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub; please do not use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub at your own risk.

* No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Two parking areas are available at the bottom of the driveway. A snow shovel and salt are available for renter use.

* There is one exterior camera facing the driveway for security purposes. There are no other cameras on the property.

**Enhanced cleaning practices are implemented at this property.

This property was in a great location!! Close to plenty of activities, but a nice and quiet family space!! We loved all the space it offered and appreciated being able to just show up with clothes and enjoy (kitchen supplies, linens and toiletries provided)! The hot tub was a nice way to relax as well!

Very close proximity to Tweetsie Railroad, which was our vacation destination. The kids LOVED the bunks and they were very comfy. Showers were amazing—great water pressure. Kitchen was stocked, but dishes were not all clean. Had to wash before using them. Exposed wires noted in kitchen. All linen seemed clean, however couch appeared a little dirty. Did not utilize laundry facilities, but they were available. Would be nice to have a door mat at entry door to prevent so much track in (water from rain, leaves, etc.). Were not able to utilize hot tub as we would have liked to due to lacking time and rain. Unable to drive up driveway (should probably notify future guests)—had to park on lower drive side area. Overall enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Only gripe about property owner was that they declined our request to change dates for our vacation when it appeared that due to incoming hurricane it was forecasted to be a washout which could’ve ended up hindering our entire vacation as Tweetsie could have possibly been closed and us unable to attend. Thankfully, all things considered, the weather turned out, but it would’ve been nice for them to accommodate their guests as requested.

cozy and convenient

We loved our stay here. All of the details were so thoughtful, from the Pack N Play, to the sound machines, to the game room and laundry detergent, so many “small” things that made a difference as a parent of young kids. Also, the convenience of being walking distance to so many activities was 10/10, we used the greenway a ton! The cleanliness of the house was fantastic too. We will definitely be staying again!

Christmas Trip

I chose this property because of it's proximity to Tweetsie. This was an extended family trip to ride the Tweetsie Christmas Train. How exciting that we could see the Tweetsie Christmas lights from the property!! The house was perfect for our grandchildren who vary in age from 18 months to 12 years with plenty of activities to keep them happy from basketball to air hockey to puzzles, books and games. It was also very clean and stocked with many starter items from kitchen to bath. I would recommend this property highly and give it 5+ stars!! We hope to go back again!

Easy Access to Tweetsie, Blowing Rock & Boone

Overall we had a great stay and the house was just what we needed. The house is located across the street from Tweetsie and only takes seconds to get there. The house is also located close to Blowing Rock and Boone and you can get to either in a matter of minutes which was nice. A few days after our stay we received a request to pay for damage to the property. They told us all of the pillow shams in the bunk room were physically ripped at the seams. For us this was an unfortunate and disappointing ending to a great stay, because two of the beds in that room were never used or physically touched by anyone in our family.

Awesome Mountain Retreat

I cannot say enough good things about this home. The location is excellent. Near stores, downtown Boone, ski resorts, and restaurants. Even though you are close to town, the house is still tucked away in a private location. There is so much to do on the property. There is a creek with a swing, fire pit, land to explore and the inside is 100% amazing. The host was extremely friendly, easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. The house has three floors, with games on the bottom, main floor and top floor with loft and master. It was spotless, cozy and welcoming. Everything worked well and we had no trouble connecting to wifi. Perfect in every way.

Wonderful cabin with excellent location and amenities! Property was just as described! Hot tub was so relaxing and the kids enjoyed the games! Fireplace was nice to cozy up to!!! East check in and owners responded with any and all questions in a very timely manner! Highly recommend!!!
