  • Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. Nestled in a peaceful setting, guests can unwind in the serene atmosphere, unique with antiques, decor and misc. items like a turn table with ample albums to listen to. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Enjoy modern amenities like WiFi, heating, and AC during your stay. Fall in love with Blanco and enjoy the magic it has to offer.

Check-in was easy and seamless. The decor was so thoughtfully done—it was charming, lovely, and filled with special touches, including fresh-cut roses on the table that made us feel so welcomed. Everything we needed was available, and sitting outside on the porch was incredibly peaceful. The home had such a nostalgic, cozy feeling that truly made our stay special. We loved every moment!

What an amazing home! It is beautiful and filled with so many fun pieces. It is super convenient to the Buggy Museum, lavender farm, downtown, etc. The host, Deb, is so thoughtful and wonderful to work with. We can't wait to go back!

No worries. The description of the property is spot on! The attention to detail is apparent in this vintage home. There has been much love and attention put into this home to make it what it is today. It’s the perfect place for a couples getaway! Enjoy.

We absolutely adored our stay at Ethyl’s Place! You can really tell how much love and dedication went into the home. We really enjoyed each thoughtful flourish and that Deb kept the beautiful history intact. It’s a fantastic property and we are so grateful that Deb shares it with others. It’s truly a delight! I cant come up with enough superlatives for the cottage, and Deb the owner. Everything about Ethyl’s Place is so well thought out and vibrates with the loving time, energy and creativity that was put into restoring this valuable little piece of Blanco History. You will have a sweet special time at Ethyl’s Place!

I am so happy that we picked Ethyl’s Place for our weekend stay. The home was clean, decorated beautifully, in town and close to everything. You can tell when you first walk in the door that it will be a wonderful experience. The host has thought of every little detail. 10/10.

Ethyl’s Place feels like so warm & cozy like home! We played scrabble & listened to records during our stay. Deb is a fabulous host! She decorated for Easter and had snacks upon arrival. We had such great time and will definitely be back!

We Love this place a long with the story behind ethyl place. My husband is 75 and I am 73 the only thing I can think of you mite have trouble getting in or out of the bath tub. So look the bathroom over before you book. That being said we are very active so no worries for us.

Family Visit

This house was perfect for the two of us to stay while visiting family. It was clean and cozy with all the amenities we needed.I also enjoyed reading the history of the property.
