Centrally located, 8 min to the village and the lake. 2 miles from BOTH Snow Summit and Bear Mountain

Winter Holiday

Had a wonderful family gathering at this property. Very comfortable for a family of 8 adults and three kids under 4. Plenty of room to spread out. Game room was perfect to release extra energy after skiing or snowboarding. There were a few things that would have made it just perfect!. Bathroom Towels appeared to be several years old and small for today’s standards. No coffee filters, no tea kettle plus kitchen utensils were limited. Bedding and home decor is a bit out dated, but it’s clean and in a great neighborhood. Overall it was a great rental.

Another great stay

My family and I stayed here last year and left a review on 08/07/2023. We returned this Summer (11 of us) and the cabin proved to still be wonderful. Vivien was great to work with. The only thing I'll note since my review last year is the spa is no longer there. But there is so much to do in and around the cabin we did not miss it at all.

Great place for a family vacay

This cabin is the perfect place for our family of 10 to enjoy the beauty of Big Bear. It is well appointed for children and adults alike. The spacious and cozy cabin gave us plenty of room to read by the fire, play card games, ping pong, and the digital game table was filled with games for young and old. This cabin kitchen was a perfect hub for family meals. The location is incredible for enjoying the zoo, the village and hikes by the lake. We played in the snow right from the large yard. Starlight cabin will be our choice for family fun in Big Bear for many years to come!

Fun Stay

We had a blast! Great location, roomy, plenty of bathrooms. The only negative is the home is super dusty. Cobwebs on lighting fixtures and ceilings, dust under furniture and visible under tv and sofa armrests, that sparked allergic reactions; coughing, sneezing, swelling. Home needs deep cleaning and updating bedding.

Wonderful accommodation!

What a gorgeous and well laid out home for a large family. Each group had their own bedroom space and there was plenty of room to gather in the common spaces. Kitchen was well equipped. There was even a Pack and Play and baby seat for our 6-week-old. We all loved the loft and game room. We will definitely stay here again!

Starlight Chalet

Starlight Chalet is a perfect spot for a family stay in Big Bear. It is a beautifully maintained property, with everything you could need. The house is large and thougtfully designed, providing ample opportunity for gathering or spreading out. The host went the extra mile to make our holiday stay festive with a Christmas tree and decorations.

Impressive cabin

When my family and I arrived at the cabin, we were first taken aback by the beautiful neighborhood. There is a long driveway to the cabin that makes you feel like you are on a private road. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. All the beds were comfortable. We had 12 people and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The upstairs A/C unit kept the top floor and main living area quite comfortable. The downstairs room did not need A/C because it was naturally cool. The cabin offered many games such as ping pong, pool table, foosball, poker table, and an electronic game/tablet table that was the most fun because it had many games on it, like Sorry! The only hiccup we had was heating the spa. The owner, Vivien, was easy to work with and was quick to respond to my questions on heating the spa. Overall, an excellent stay and my family would definitely stay here again.

Great Home in a Beautiful location

We stayed at this Beautiful home during the recent blizzard. We felt very safe warm & never bored… thanks to the game room which kept us all entertained with ping pong & fooz ball tournaments, while the kids made snow men in the front yard. The home was immaculate with everything in working order. Check in was a breeze—which was important when traveling with hungry & cranky kids :-) Our host was amazing, she let us know that a large storm was on the way and to make sure to have plenty of food stocked in case the blizzard lasted awhile. She also made sure the driveway was always cleared properly so we could leave for provisions, etc. We would 100% be back to this Beautuful home soon.

Great spot would rent again

This rental was immaculately clean. It had everything our group of 8 needed for a nice weekend in the mountains. Plenty of room for all of us to have our own beds and spread out. We enjoyed a coffee on the patio in the mornings by the fire pit and sitting in the jacuzzi in the evenings. When you get there turn on the jacuzzi first so it starts warming up. It took a couple hours to go from 65 to 104 degrees. If you want a fire in the wood burning fireplace I’d recommend bringing a starter log. The wood at the rental was all hard wood which proved to be difficult to get lit. We would definitely stay here again. Thinking about bringing our family up here in the winter for a ski weekend.

Spectacular Views, Spacious Home

Wow!! Was my first word as we opened the door to the Starlight Chalet. Beautifully decorated and clean !! A little modern with a "cabin" feel. The amenities were awesome. The wrap around deck was perfect for our ladies weekend celebrating my sister's birthday! The game room and loft was a hit and had something for everyone. The Infinity game table was so cool !! I definitely recommend the Starlight Chalet for a ladies weekend, a family vacation or a piece of heaven surrounded by beautiful scenery. We will be back !!

Better than expected!

We stayed as two couples each with a few young children. It worked perfect, with one couple in the 3rd floor master and one couple in the 1st floor master, with the kids in the bedrooms on the second floor. The home and neighborhood were nicer than expected and better than the pictures. The patio was wonderful to sit out on, and the game room provided a lot of entertainment. Check in and check out was easy and the owner communicated with us regularly. Would stay again!

Great place

Great place will all the amenities and AC for the summer time. My family enjoyed this place and we had plenty of room to spare. The host was polite and professional and the property was stocked and ready for arrival. Most of the beds are very good and the kids like the bunk beds. This location in big bear is just perfect as well. Thanks for the great stay and I look forward to returning to big bear in the future.

Great family getaway in perfect environment!

The house is exactly as the host described. The entire house is bright, nicely decorated & not outdated. The open kitchen & living room floorplan allow us to have a good time hanging out together. There're even 2 separate heating controls for the upper & lower floors. The hot water is quick & enough for a large group of us. This house is a perfect set up that comfortably allows 3-4 families to stay & enjoy wonderful time together. Our young kids truly enjoyed the game room & game table. The host also responded very quickly. We would love to stay at Vivien's house again.

Great house!

We had a very comfortable stay. With 4 large bedrooms with 4 full baths, it was perfect for our whole family. Only a short drive to the slopes too. We would recommend it!
