We found the booking online with little idea of what to expect from the surrounding area or inn. Upon arrival the tree lined drive was welcoming and mysterious. The entrance and frontage of Adair was majestic and homey tied together. Ben greeted my husband and provided a tour. He led us to our room, which was grand and period plush. The updates to the bath and creature comforts (gas stove, extension cords, ac, luggage stands, box fan, extra pillows and amazing bath robes insure a comfortable stay. Dinner reservations were for 7pm and the dinning service, Chef Joshua’s culinary creativity did not disappoint. I enjoyed the ‘leaf peeper’ cocktail, it was a delightful mix and the muddled orange perfectly accented. The jacuzzi tub was relaxing, although the water temp was not as warm as desired. This was true of the morning showers. There is a note suggesting to wait for water to reach the space, however, even after the 4 min recommendation, the water was tepid at best. Breakfast was absolutely worth every bite. Savannah was our server. The mushrooms in the omelette were dreamy and savory-I must say the best mushrooms I have ever tasted. The popular popover was fluffy and light complimented by butter or jam. Beverages are self serve and my spouse is well versed in keeping my coffee mug full (wink, wink). The petite fruit cup with breakfast was pineapple and strawberries and a perfect compliment in size and taste. We were sad the weather changed to rain which canceled our walk. ❤️
