LA BARRA COTTAGE IS WALKING DISTANCE TO BARWON RIVER, OCEAN BEACHES, FINEST GOLF COURSES AND CHILDREN'S PARKS, AS WELL AS VIBRANT LOCAL SHOPS IN HITCHCOCK AVENUE. THE PROPERTY HAS RETAIN THE ORIGINAL ARCHITECTURE SHOWING IMPRESSIVE HIGH AND OPEN CATHEDRAL CEILINGS. THE COTTAGE IS A GREAT HOLIDAY GETAWAY FOR WINTER AND SUMMER, LOCATED IN A QUITE COURT AND SURROUNDED BY PRIVATE GARDEN THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY. PADDLE, SWIM OR SURF IN THE CRASHING WAVES OR TAKE A RELAXING STROLL ALONG THE CLEAN, GOLDEN SANDS OF SOME OF THE AUSTRALIA'S BEST BEACHES. Great location - walking distance to shops and beach/river

The location of this place is great - about 20 - 30 mins walk down to the shops and the beach - through a lovely tree-lined walk. The property looks like a quirky old chalet from the outside but is very nicely furnished and setup inside. Our teenager loved the mezzanine bedroom. We were there for a few very hot days and it stayed quite cool with the aircon and fans. The kitchen is an older style but was very well stocked with everything you would need. There was also a huge back yard with outside lounge and a nice shady undercover BBQ area as well.There are some comments about issues with cleanliness but we found that the place was very clean and well looked after. It is an older style place and nothing flash but we prefer that for a beach trip with kids anyway - much more character and more practical than a huge modern place full of white furniture!

This property was advertised with a hot tub , which was non existent. There was no linen provided and no bathroom towels etc . The property manager was extremely difficult to contact and very slow to answer emails. The front door was virtually impossible to close and lock. Garden path leading to the backyard was totally overgrown. There were cockroaches crawling on the floor. Overall our group were very disappointed.

Plenty of different indoor and outdoor areas to relax in and a convenient drive into Barwon Heads shops or beaches. Would definitely stay again.

Great comfortable house

We had a great stay. The only issue was the previous tenants or the cleaners didn’t put out the bins and we didn’t notice until it was too late. Had to squash our rubbish in and ensured the bins went out. Overall a lovely stay. Thankyou.

Great Family Property

The house was in a lovely quiet location

The house was quite spacious with different seating zones outdoors with plenty of shade. We especially appreciated all the necessary occodiments and little things that you don’t need to run to the shop to buy (aeroguard, cling wrap, laundry essentials etc) Beds were comfy and rooms spacious, heating and cooling was fantastic.

Great Family Property

Loved the outside dining, BBQ and seating areas in a fernery and undercover so we sat out in the rain. The house suited us perfectly. Great location, lovely cycle path into town. Quite rustic which we liked, very relaxing. Nice grass at the rear. Plenty of room. Separate toilet worked well as only one bathroom. Thank you - we would love to retun one day.

Good but a few little things let it down

- No hair dryer as listed - please was not very clean with a lot of cobwebs, dead bugs and dust that had not been cleaned in a long time - bins were too full to throw rubbish out - very dark lighting meant it was difficult to actually see what we were eating/doing in lounge areas On the plus side - owner comms lovely - place in good location - lots of space and excellent outdoor
