I really liked the location of this place and the neighborhood. The area is very safe and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shoppable places.The place itself was nice but needed some upgrading. The furniture was kind of dirty. The washing machine/all in one dryer was not good. The dryer doesn't work at all so that was a bummer because I had a lot of laundry to do from a long trip. The blackout blinds in the living room don't drop down. There weren't a lot of amenities like good TP, paper towels, and washing detergent. Communication with the management company wasn't the best. They took too long to replay to messages from the app. I reached out about the broken washer/dryer, they sent me an instruction manual (There was already a copy in the apartment) and then told me to try unplugging and plugging it back in. Not helpful. Most disturbing for me was when the management company checked us out and removed my electronic access to the unit a full day early. My son was very sick and didn't join us on a family activity to Montserrat. While we were away, he left the unit to get some soup. Upon return he couldn't get back into the building as the electronic code no longer worked. He waited in the cold until someone left and at least got himself back into the building. I messaged the management company and heard nothing back, I called 4 times and no one answered. After over 2 hours I finally connected with someone. In return I received an "oops, sorry" response.

Tons of cute restaurants, coffee shops, and most importantly the area felt very safe. Only a short walk away from Main Street luxury shops, and gaudi house. Check in process was easy with the Alkies phone app. House was as advertised! AC units in each room other than the room with a small twin bed which had a fan. My friend said the cool air came into her room quickly though and she was comfortable. We each had our own bathroom/shower which was very nice. Also a short walk to the metro which is one of the main lines for the major attractions and the convention center. If you’re looking for a spot in a local area but near the action then this is a perfect place for you

Location & cleanliness great! Apartment size & amenities great for 5! Habitat Apartment staff however, could not help us with the door lock app. After 4.5 hours in the stairwell, calling Habitat back after no callbacks, an agent was finally dispatched to get us in the unit. The most frustrating thing was the online instructions for the door lock app was wrong & the Habitat staff couldn’t resolve a VERY simple issue for us until the agent arrived. Look at the photo below. If you follow the instructions, you will be in the stairwell for 4.5 hrs as well. So BEWARE, on step 1, turn door “knob” to the RIGHT, not left. Very frustrating!!With all of that said, we would still stay here again for all the other positive reasons!! Aloha!!

Fantastic Eixample 3-bedroom flat, spacious, airy and safe!

We really enjoyed our stay in this 3-bedroom flat in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. There was enough room for our family of five and the 3 separate bathrooms was a big plus (even if the oversized bathroom sink basins leave little room to put anything down). The kitchen is well outfitted and the French doors leading to the little balcony overlooking the courtyard provide an airy, authentic feeling to the atmosphere of the flat. The mattresses are foam, firm and comfortable. Pillows are excellent. Bedding and linens are fine. The access method, via an app, to get into the building and flat take some getting used to, but work. The neighborhood is very safe and there is a healthy amount of foot traffic to the local restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Berry Brunch directly across the street is superb and tapas abound in every direction. Gelatto shops, too. Highly recommend!

At home in the heart of a profound urban center

We were a three generational family (10-82) traveling together for our granddaughter's first trip abroad. The elders had been to Barcelona 13 years before and knew the city well enough to understand where we would be staying. But we were surprised, by the conversion of the EIxemple into an assemblage of pedestrian superblocks. Carrer Consell de Cents is part of this transformation. It was, for a lifelong resident of New York, revelatory. The apartment was perfectly fitted to our needs and was very accurately displayed in the pictures on the booking website. Three bedrooms and three bath rooms. One of the bedrooms is small as expected. The bathrooms were all very well modernized and the shower were excellent. The kitchen, which we did not really use, was nonetheless well appointed. The security/ entry system worked flawlessly. The block that the building is part of has a park in the center of it much as the designer of the Eixemple, Ildefons Cerdà had intended for the entire area.The management company was clear in its communication. Victoria, the representative who met us was very helpful in setting up access to the key system. Within a week of our return Habitat had refunded our security deposit as well as an overpayment in taxes since one of our party was a child.Crticisms: The living room furniture was a bit shabby. The mattress on one of the beds slipped off the frame and both mattresses were hot as memory foam tends to be.

Great location, access issues

Can’t beat the location. Quiet neighborhood with locals but close to metro and busy areas. Apartment was clean and beds comfy. Only issue was check in. Lock app didn’t work - unclear instructions. We had to have a resident let us in the lobby and wait for help. Then the app wouldn’t work to let us back in. Maintenance didn’t come for hours and had to give us physical keys. The WiFi never worked, and the only response was to try again.

Perfect Stay in a Bright, Well-Equipped Apartment

Our stay in this bright, well-appointed apartment was fantastic. I visited with two friends, and each of us had our own spacious bedroom, complete with memory foam mattresses (a huge plus) and ample closet space. Two of the bedrooms also had en-suite bathrooms, both of which were roomy. Water pressure and temperature were good. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the host even included laundry soap for the in-unit washer. The living and dining areas provided plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing, and the small balcony was a great spot for a morning coffee. A market just down the street made it easy to grab supplies. While the apartment is located in a bustling neighborhood, the noise level was manageable and not disruptive. The location itself is ideal, within walking distance to most attractions and public transportation —step outside and you’re in the heart of the action. Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were communicative and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Perfect location, lots of room, very poor check-in

All in all, this is a great place in a great location...with a terrible check-in process. The Eixample neighborhood is gorgeous and one of the original neighborhoods designed around pedestrians, so walking is a pleasure and everything you need is easy to get to. The apartment itself is very spacious for Europe. There are A/C units in 2 bedrooms; the 3rd does not have A/C and isn't as pleasant. A previous review said they would provide fans for future renters; they do not. The rest of the place is great. Now for the warning - the instructions for accessing the apartment are very poor, and often times the Nuki app (used to access the building and the apartment) does not work. The physical key to open the door at the street level, *which you will not have upon your arrival* is also stripped and takes 20 seconds of turning to catch and open the lock. Previous reviews said they would fix the door; they have not. We arrived Friday at 6pm, couldn't get in, and no one answered the main phone number or after-hours number, nor the VRBO chat, nor the email address of the owner. Luckily a tenant happened to open the door after 15min on the street and we got in. 30min later I finally got hold of someone on the after-hours phone and they also did not have proper instructions for entry at the street level!! It took until Noon the next day for anyone to get back to me. DO NOT ARRIVE AT NIGHT OR IN A RUSH. Also, you need a credit card to stick in the light socket to turn on the A/C.

Great Stay!

Location of this rental is perfect. Everything close by in a beautiful little neighborhood. Easy walk to Gothic Quarter, Gaudi architecture, and much more. If you are American, the blue fob goes in the little block by the front door to turn on the lights :). Management communicated well. Overall a great stay.

Great location in Eixample...issues with check-in and keys

The location of this property was great. Close to La Sagrada de Familia short walk to shopping restaurants and Casa Batlo. Apartment was clean and very charming. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and one of the bedrooms had two twins beds, which was nice so you could push them together or have them separate. One of the bathrooms only has a sink but no area to put your toiletries which was inconvenient. The check in process was not smooth. I was instructed to download the Nuki app before arrival which I did. This allowed for automated entry into the building and unit. Unfortunately, it did not work. We had to wait for someone to leave the building in order to enter. We were able to get into the apartment with the app, the management company was very attentive to try to help us. They sent someone over an hour later to bring us keys. However, the lock on the building was very stripped so it was extremely hard to get in with the key provided. Additionally, they only provided one key, which made it hard to coordinate if people wanted to go separate ways. After getting off an international flight, the last thing you want is issues checking into your accommodations when all you want to do is drop off your luggage and unwind. I did ask for some type of credit, however, I haven't heard anything from the property. Other than that everything went smoothly.

Nice stay

Our stay was great. The check-in process was quick, smooth. Mgr. was at front door when we arrived to apartment building. Property was well laid out and appointed. While we did not hear any noise in neighboring apartments, we did struggle with late into the night street noise. People just having a good time. The solution was to shut the windows, but it forced us to turn on the AC...the first week in April. Would recommend owners provide fans for some air movement. Highly recommend!

Nice place and worked well for our family of five for a week. Plenty of space, bathrooms were nice with good showers. Smart tv was nice and easy to use. Door lock app worked fine, but some better and earlier communication about all the details like lock app would have been nice. Nice area with easy access to metro and walkable to lots of good spots.

Great Location

We loved the location of this unit. There are great restaurants, bars and shops around. It is close to more touristy areas too. Communication from host was timely, the unit was clean and had a great balcony. It was perfect for our family.
