The Penthouse at Sugar Top. Unit 2001, Rented by Sugar Mountain Lodging Inc

2001 is a 10th (top) floor unit featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a Queen sized bed and there is also a sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating 6 guests. The condo has a living room and a full kitchen, and Sugar Top boasts incredible long range views. Kitchen has pots and pans, dishes and silverware, small appliances. NO coffee is provided, but we are now stocking units with salt and pepper, and cooking oil. The condo has an electric fireplace insert, so you won't have to worry about buying wood or not being able to use it when there's high wind. The ground floor of the condo building features an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and fitness room.
Sugar Top condos do not have air conditioning. No pets permitted.
The units only have a 38 gallon water heater, due to space limitations.
This only permits a 3-5 minute shower before the heater needs to recycle and reheat. .

Staff at the resort was excellent, communication with the rental company was also excellent. Excellent that it had 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms cot and very comfortable living room. Would definitely stay again. Only recommendations, adding another fan for the summer months, and updating towels.

Outstanding view and resort area. But, weak past that.

A weekend stay planned for three. we were there to review the facility as we consider a purchase there. My wife and I and daughter. My daughter has a severe allergy to cigarette smoke. It is a no smoking unit but the smell of cigarette smoke was obvious when we opened the door. We tried but my daughters eyes were swelling in under an hour. My wife and daughter left and went to a hotel, I spent the night to meet the realtor the next morning. A sleepless night on less than perfect mattress and a strong odor from the pillows and bedcover. I left the next morning and would not go back.

Short vacation

We had been at Sugar Top around 20 years ago and decided to revisit the area. It was a great decision, as we had a very good time We love the condo and the convenience to local area. We probably won’t wait so long to come back again.

Great location

We had a wonderful time, I was worried about having to use shuttle van but there was no issue at all they were very prompt. It was close to to everything from grocery store to attractions, I had a blast doing the wilderness alpine coaster. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only negative was no vents in bathrooms but alot of places for some reason are like that.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Although the unit we had was very nice with a beautiful view, adequately furnished and well supplied kitchen the property itself was older and could use a little sprucing up. What wasn't very convenient was the trash chute was all the way down the other end from our unit and not well marked.

The condo was very nice. Everything was clean, and there was everything you would need for a quick visit or extended stay. The price was very good too. We would recommend it, and would like to stay there again in the future

Amazing balcony views. Comfortable Condo. Beautiful indoor pool area. We had a few issues with some things. The TV was busted in the living room and some of the outlets were loose or broken. But overall it was a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. We would book there again.

Amazing VEIWS, Very Comfortable

The condo was awesome. The views were amazing. The property was nice. Shuttle drivers were great. The only issue was the Sugar Mountain Lodge check in office was not on site. Make sure you read the check in process don't go to the resort without check in otherwise you have to drive down the mountain to check in and then go back up.

Condo Cleanliness

We really enjoyed our stay and made the best of it. There were however some dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the Condo. *Hall restroom tub/shower was clogged (no one was able to use) *Trash was left under the trash bin in the kitchen (food) *Guest bedroom sheets were stained (everyone was grossed out, body fluids) *Change of sheets and blankets were also stained (body fluids) *Dust on all the furniture (I had to dust off all the bedroom, living room, foyer and dinning room area. It was the Holiday and none of us wanted to call and complain. We washed the bedding and used the master bath. We also loved the condo and would like another visit in our future. The lobby assistants was amazing with our family. We had a couple of hiccups with parking but staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle staff were all Amazing! What a great team.
