This condo sits at the base of Sugar Mountain just off the Easy Street Run. It is a true ski-in/ski-out location as you can walk down the steps off the deck and you are just steps from the slopes. It is a great location for non-skiers to sit on the back deck and watch the skiers go by, or snuggle up around the gas fireplace. Utilize the fully equipped kitchen or visit one of the many local restaurants nearby. In the summer, enjoy walking access to the mountain bike trails, tennis courts and golf course. Enjoy the sounds of the creek as you relax on the covered deck, or relax inside and enjoy the central air-conditioning.

What's nearby:
Sugar Mountain Resort is just steps away from this condo, where in addition to skiing you'll find an outdoor skating rink and snow tubing. In the Summer and Fall there are mountain bike trails, tennis courts and a full golf course. Sight-seeing and outdoor activities are plentiful in this area as well, such as Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, white water rafting, ziplining and gem mining!

Excellent ski-in/ski-out location

Very homey and comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with what you need to cook in. Two styles of coffee makers, nice touch! Beds were comfortable. Love watching the people on the slopes from the kitchen or living room. Would definitely stay again!

Plus factors were the the running creek behind, the fireplace, small deck and living area. The minus factors were a bed that hadn't been completely made when we arrived, the access to the lower level and stairs, some areas not thoroughly cleaned.

Where not able to get there

It looked beautiful but it was physically impossible to get there, people complainning about de icing the roads, was informed that not even the cleaning crew was able to get there because of the storms. Lost ski lift and passes, etc. . Wish a refund for the night because I was not able to go. Regrettably next day was already booked and no availability in the area. I rated all excellent because I believe that is how I t would have been. The managers are friendly but Iam still hoping for such a situation to get a refund since I travel overseas and don't see likely to return any time soon if given a credit.

Well appointed condo, but three flights of stairs to entrance

I know it is out of the owners control, however, Our biggest concern which caused us to leave a day early is the next door neighbor had two heavy smokers always on the deck Smoking, so we could not enjoy our deck. I am very sensitive to smoke and had not anticipated that. The decks are connected and not as private as I thought based on the photos. The condo has everything you need, but needs a few fixes, vertical blinds are detaching, garbage disposal was not usable, cleaning of master bath was not done well, particularly the moldy grout. Thankfully we were able to use the second bath and the owner offered to have them come back but we were already unpacking. I almost walked out after going down 3 flights of stairs to a dark carpeted moldy hallway to get into the ground floor condo. Once inside it opens up nice and has lovely kitchen, comfy furniture and view. We were able to walk down off the deck to the mountain and can see how ski in and out would work, but the stairs are steep and the deck very worn. We had quick response from the owner and appreciated that and I know if it were not for the smokers we would have had meals out on the deck and been able to enjoy it more.
