This townhouse offers plenty of space for family and friends and is positioned in one of the best locations on the mountain! The serene view from the back deck overlooks the lush green of the golf course and pond. The modern furniture, full kitchen, and large living area make this a perfect choice for the next getaway. Our property is within walking distance to the 1st tee at the golf course, tubing and ice skating, and is also right across the street from the ski lodge.

Sugar Mountain Resort is just moments away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours, and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including The Pedalin’ Pig and Elevations Restaurant. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, Mile High Swinging Bridge, and Grandfather State Park.

Could Be Amazing BUT…

It is an excellent property with four bedrooms and four baths. However, it is extremely outdated, and the porches have not been cleaned or maintained nor offer you any privacy from the neighbors. They’re literally on top of you. The parking is a nightmare because there are no Marked spaces, it says you can only have two cars, but then people are just parked everywhere and telling you that you can’t park in front of your spot. There were spiders which I understand we’re in the mountains, but they were spiders in the shower and ants in the kitchen. It was not advertised that there is no air-conditioning so they were lots of strange box fans that were fine at night but during the day it was hot. It was advertised that it had a full kitchen, but it was lacking kitchen towels, and hot pads because we cooked and I was not sure how I was supposed to get anything out of the oven! There was no cutting board and there was no coffee to get you started at least for the first day. The Internet was out and I called and I got on chat with someone and they said that they checked to make sure the bill was paid and that they would send someone out the next day. No one ever came to fix the Internet. They were doing construction on the building, which is great on the outside replacing windows and siding, but it was everywhere just things laying and you couldn’t hardly back your car up which made it even more difficult for the difficult parking. It honestly could be an amazing space!!!

Thanksgiving Visit

House is outdated but somewhat comfortable. Family space barely big enough for six adults. We have three grown children with spouses and all coming from separate areas so parking less than ideal. Access to everything was great. Location perfect. Will not likely stay at this VRBO again. Will look for free standing house next year. The Thompson’s

Great condo at Sugar Mountain!

Our family went to Sugar Mountain for 5 nights between Christmas and NY. We had 9 people with the youngest being 13 and all others 17-60 and we had plenty of room and places to sleep. Condo was large enough for everyone and a great location to enjoy all of the activities at Sugar Mountain (tubing, ice skating, skiing and snowboarding all within walking distance. Which is important with traffic issues during the busy holiday season) Condo was clean and had all the necessities (except a pizza cutter which I meant to buy and leave one but I didn’t get the chance) I do think a larger and better coffee maker would be a great idea for this size condo. It was a chore to deal with making only about 3 cups per pot and would be a inexpensive item to replace. Condo was nothing extravagant but fine for our needs. My only complaint would be the people in next door townhouse sat on the balcony every night being very loud until the wee hours of the morning. As in 3 and 4 am! Even with the window closed in our bedroom they sounded like they were in our condo. If I had to do it all over again I would have called Vacasa but to be honest during the day we were always busy doing things and I wouldn’t think about it again until I was trying to sleep at midnight or later. And I didn’t feel comfortable going over and knocking on their door because you just never know these days. But I would recommend this condo. However, if dates are flexible I wouldn’t recommend this week. It’s just too busy to be able to enjoy all that Sugar Mountain has to offer.

Dysfunctional management

Upon arrival, heat didn't work. Called management to request help. 3 hours later, called again and they said it was emergency hours only. I explained no heat in 30 degree weather with my two elderly parents and 4 children is an emergency. We slept with no heat downstairs. The toilets ran constantly so we had to cut them off each time after use. Definitely needs some maintenance. The morning we were leaving, the group next door stated they had some water issues where the commodes were backing up into the tubs and sinks. I will never stay here again. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect getaway

This condo was absolutely perfect for our group of friends. There was plenty of space to sleep and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfast. The check in/out process was seamless. Views were breathtaking. We will be back!

Great location

We had a very nice experience staying in the townhouse. It provided easy access to everything we wanted to do while in the mountains. It was also very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the plumbing issues in the upstairs masterbath that I believe is being fixed. Otherwise no issues and would stay there again.
