    Flip Flops overlooks the signature hole of the golf course; the par-3 16th - and has a beautiful view of the ocean too. It is a peaceful haven for family and friends and the perfect starting point to explore the island. The cottage's whimsical paintings and decor, restful porches and panoramic views will make your stay unforgettable. One of the larger houses on the island, it has a unique feature in the crofter over the garage. A perfect hideaway for grandparents, in-laws or anyone in the group who wants some privacy. It has a kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, coffee maker and microwave. Plus king sized bed and full bath. Decks and porches in both the front and back offer views in all directions. The kitchen was expanded a few years ago and has plenty of room. So does the dining table, with seating for 12. Plus, there are a dozen more chairs on the back porch, just outside the door. The rear downstairs covered porch has a swing and a half dozen rockers. A grouping of chairs on the front porch overlooks the 16th green for afternoon cocktails. And the ground floor porch has a swing, love seat and Adirondacks for another getaway haven. The downstairs master bedroom has a king bed and adjoining bath and opens to the back deck. The twin bedroom also connects to the deck and shares a hallway bath with another twin bedroom.

Què li ha agradat: Entrada, comunicació, ubicació, precisió de l’anunci
We loved our first trip to Bald Head Island and definitely plan to return. The house is beautiful and has all the amenities you would need. It’s in a great central location on the island making everything a quick trip. However, the cleanliness of the house left something to be desired. In the master bed upstairs, there were a lot of cobwebs on the ceiling and we killed no less than 4 large spiders in our bedroom. Downstairs they had a dead cricket on their pillow and a spider in their bed. I understand that bugs happen but there were too many to count between all of us. The property around the house was also heavily littered. It looked like it had been accumulating for some time. There was even a wash cloth hanging from one of the trees. We plan to come back in the future but will probably look at other rental options. There is also a wasps nest above the hammock on the downstairs back porch. I feel like getting the house treated for bugs and a little spring cleaning would have it in great shape. It’s a very nice place.
