"I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back."

"The staff and owners of the pub were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make our stay good. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The pub is situated in a small village and there is road noise but it’s quiet at night. It’s an incredibly old building so obviously not going to be modern and sparkling new. A nice stay "

"On arrival I was greeted by a lovely young lady who showed me to my room and made sure that I had everything that I needed. The room was pleasant and well kept. It was spacious and comfortable. The en-suite was nice and the shower powerful and hot. The included breakfast was delicious and service couldn’t be faulted. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Matlock."

"We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Our room was very nice and comfortable and the four poster bed was lovely as well. The food at the hotel is very nice and very well priced and the real ales are superb. Although they don’t do breakfast there are plenty of places to get breakfast, we used Ye Old Nags Head and for £10.95 it was value for money. "Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."
