  • Casa 55 is a home located in the traditional and unique Beira Mar neighborhood. The house was completely renovated in 2019 and designed to preserve the facade and traditional exterior tiles, while offering every comfort and amenity inside.
    The house features a bedroom, a suite, a kitchen, a living room, and a fantastic interior garden. The decor is inspired by industrial style and aims to combine functionality, comfort, and the charm of the space. The house is equipped with a dining table, a sofa, a SMART TV, and air conditioning.
    The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and all the utensils needed to prepare a meal—that is, if you aren’t tempted to try the countless restaurants in the area.
    The decor aims to give the home a modern and sophisticated touch.
    The entire space is accessible and was designed to provide maximum comfort. Enjoy the dining room or relax on the inner patio.
    It is located in the Beira Mar neighborhood, the city’s most typical and picturesque district. Here, right in the heart of the city, you can meet the most colorful characters (the fisherman, the salt worker, etc.). Also nearby, you’ll find several examples of Art Nouveau architecture, as well as a saltworks. Lose yourself among Aveiro’s canals as you explore the heart of the city. And don’t forget to try the Ovos Moles :)

Bien sauf les derniers jours ou la ou les personnes logés au dessus on fait des bruits de jours mais surtout de nuit qui nous ont occasionnée une gène importante et ce malgré l'information donnée au propriétaire

Not as good as it could have been, unfortunately.

Apartment, in a pleasant & convenient part of Old Town, was easy to find and Felipe provided the key code etc in good time. The living and eating areas were very clean & well presented. Kitchen was excellent and well equipped (but the frying pan could do with replacing). Otherwise, the implements were excellent and plentiful. There is a dishwasher and washing machine which could be useful. The bedroom was large and bed good but did creak on moving. The bathroom was a good size but was let down by a lot of black mouldy areas on tiles, and a musty smell. We're surprised other reviews did not mention it. This is obviously due to the lack of aeration as the extractor is not strong enough, nor is there an opening window to use. Unfortunately, the upstairs apartment did create some noise (creaking & heavy walking) when moving around; at 6am it is inconvenient. Obviously, this could not be the fault of Felipe. Our other disappointment was that a building 30 metres away along the road was being demolished for 4 of the 6 days of our stay! It was very noisy from 8am. According to the notices on the building this should have been known since April. Notices had also been stuck to the apartment. We had to make detours to the apartment as the access roads were cordoned off. We would have appreciated being informed of the demolition as it did spoil our stay somewhat. It was a real shame.
