  • This large family home named "El Nido" is located on upper Catalina Street. What a great vacation home for an extended family! The first, or main, floor boasts a large living room with a great game table for game nights and a large 46-inch flat panel TV for movie night. Even though the fireplace is not functional, the living room can also be a respite for curling up and reading a good book. The side patio, which can be entered from the living room, offers plenty of outdoor seating space for dining after grilling your favorite meal. If you'd rather enjoy a family sit down dinner inside, there is a great dining table in the spacious dining room. The dining room is close to the large kitchen, equipped with all you need to prepare snacks, meals, and your favorite beverages. One bedroom with a bathroom is also located on this main floor. The second floor has the other four bedrooms, three of which have their own bathrooms, plus there is a fourth bathroom at the top of the stairs. You'll find hardwood floors in all rooms but the kitchen and the bathrooms. There are even several hooks just outside the back door (off the dining room) to hang your wet towels and suits when you get home from the beach. What are you waiting for? 351CA | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Island getaway!

House was amazing! Plenty of space and restrooms and very clean! All guests enjoyed their cozy experience. Door key was a bit tricky to operate, but overall successful! Awesome property, would definitely book again!

Lots of rooms and bathrooms

The house was withing walking distance of 99% of things to do. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms if you have a large party. Service was very good and communication was great. They were able to accommodate us for an early check in on the same day. You will eat a lot so all the walking helps. Overall a very nice place to stay at in Avalon.

October 2019 Stay

Loved the stay. We had 5 couples so it’s hard to find place with 5 bedrooms, and even harder with enough bathrooms for everyone. It’s a great location in the flats so it’s easily walkable to front street, golf course, casino and anything else you need. The only part that wasn’t 5 star was the bedroom downstairs only had a bath,no shower. Other than that it was the best big place in town and we will definitely be back.

Great House for Big Family

Great house, you just need to be careful with the brick walkway in the front, there are a row of bricks that are a half an inch higher than the ones around it that will trip you, it caught a couple of us!

Charming and Spacious in Avalon

We were a group of seven friends on a union trip. The house was perfect for our group. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. We enjoyed sitting out in the patio in the morning with coffee. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed to prepare meals. We all liked staying at the house. The only problem we had was getting into the house. We had problems getting the the lock to work to unlock and lock. We had to have maintenance come out and work on the lock and give us different keys.

Easy walk from the ferry dock and to the grocery store. House is well equipped and in beautiful condition. Great communication with rental company. Eight adults very happy with our stay and would return.

the hlouse was lovely the beds were terrible

All the bedrooms need new mattresses, except for not having good nights sleep the house was great.Clean had everything we need.

Great Cozy Cottage!

The house was cozy, with lots of space for gathering, including a lovely outdoor terrace. Lots of bathrooms, but some are teenie tiny. The upstairs isn’t heated, but there are lots of blankets, and heated bathrooms. We had a baby and some older folks, so the chilly upstairs wasn’t ideal, but we were able to get space heaters when we requested. We had problems with the internet, but the 24 hour maintenance folks were great! The house smelled musty when we arrived, but it was fine after we aired it out. It’s an older house with some peculiarities, but after we adjusted, we found it rather charming. The location is great, and the management company was very responsive!

Great for family

This is a beautiful home in a perfect location. A straight 2 block walk to the beach and shops. No golf cart came with the rental. There is plenty of room for 10 people inside and out. We used the patio for our small wedding since all of the venues were being used for the Catalina wine mixer. We are already talking about a return trip.

Perfect for our family

We were in Catalina for a family celebration and El Nido suited us perfectly. A few minor inconveniences - the lower oven didn't work and some of the burners could only be lit with a match, a screen door was falling off - but overall, we were very happy. It was great having 5 1/2 bathrooms! What a luxury while sharing a house with 10 people. We appreciated and used the various games, and enjoyed having sand toys for the children and beach chairs and an umbrella to take to the beach for the grownups. The fans in each room came in very handy when the temperatures reached record highs near the end of our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was clean and well kept. The one thing that would have made it better would have been access to the golf cart. Carting stuff back and forth to the beach and groceries for that many people from the store got old pretty fast. Overall we were very pleased and had a great time.

My family had never been to Catalina. Our experience was absolutely amazing!

The home we rented was perfect and met all our needs. It was walking distance to all areas throughout Avalon. Great location. The house was extremely clean with great amenities. Anything we needed was at our disposal. We loved the patio and BBQing, lots of doors and windows for fresh air, and there were games galore at our disposal. Fun! Everything was provided. And a wonderful, large screen tv. We had an absolutely wonderful vacation and plan on coming back! P.S. Definitely try the Catalina signature drink- Buffalo Milk. Amazing! Miniature golf, renting bikes and parasailing were also amazing! Thank you Catalina!
