Nestled at the foothills of Matakana valley, an easy 3.8kms from Matakana Village, is the quiet romantic Matakana Valley Barn Apartment.
Relax in the comfort of the a self contained barn style apartment, set within a quiet rural setting. Listen to the native birdsong while soaking in the outdoor bath, and looking up towards the iconic Matakana Valley hills.
The apartment offers complete privacy, peace and quite, while still being within easy distance of the many attractions of Matakana Village and the surrounding coast.
The apartment is well appointed with a bbq, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge freezer, hot plate and associated accessories. Free wifi is also available
The apartment is designed for a couple, however, a roll away single bed and a port-a-cot are available on request.

This was a lovely clean, bright, and modern accommodation with an incredibly comfortable bed and linens. We enjoyed the proximity to beaches and hiking as well as the Matakana Market. Sally and Craig are lovely hosts!

Relaxing country retreat

This property is set in the beautiful countryside just outside Matakana. The vibe is tranqil and relaxing. You can sit back and relax in perfect comfort. It was a lovely haven from the demands of long days on the road.

Perfect getaway

Such an incredible spot to getaway. My partner and I wanted a break from the city and it was perfect. The hosts were very responsive and incredibly accomodating. The barn was such a cosy place and had everything we needed! Would definitely come back again

Very friendly hosts / Serene setting

Had a wonderful stay on our second visit in 4 years. The hosts were always available and helpful when needed, but also gave us our privacy. The unit was clean, airy and well appointed. The property is in a rural setting, very quiet, and only 2-3 kms from Matakana Village. We would stay again in a heartbeat. There are many things to do in the immediate area. This place was one of our favourite accommodations of the 13 spots we stayed on the North Island.

Loved our stay!

My partner and I loved staying here for a weekend getaway. It was clean, tidy and had modern comfortable furnishings. We also enjoyed a BBQ meal in the outdoor area, while watching the sunset over the beautiful and peaceful Matakana valley. And the outdoor bath was a magical star gazing experience!

Matakana Valley Barn.

A perfect location for a holiday stay. Wonderful hosts. You have got to go there just to try out Grandma's Feather Bed. We would be back there tomorrow if we could. Plenty of birdlife and nice gardens.

Peaceful. The Barn is Perfect. Styled really nicely, and has everything you need. The bed is comfortable, and the outdoor bath under the stars is magic. Highly recommend this property.
