Welcome to this pristine, newly renovated Lake Martin getaway—just steps from the water and only 30 minutes from Auburn University. Beautifully furnished in a relaxed lake motif, this serene waterfront home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests.
Set on a private, wooded lot directly on the water, the home features a spacious living area with a cozy fireplace, a 70” flat-screen TV, and stunning lake views. Though you’re right on the lake, the warm interior has a peaceful, mountain-retreat feel—perfect for unwinding.
The large, fully stocked kitchen is ideal for home-cooked meals and opens to a dining area that seats up to 12 guests. Prefer dining out? Several excellent restaurants are just minutes away, offering everything from pizza and seafood to classic Southern cuisine.
Step outside to the covered lakeside deck or relax on your private dock while watching the family enjoy the water. With the house located only 50 feet from the shoreline, the outdoor space feels like a true extension of the home. The property sits on the quiet side of the 49th Street Bridge, creating a safe, low-traffic area ideal for swimming, floating, fishing, and kids at play. Perfect for fishing boats and smaller watercraft, the 5-foot clearance under the 49th Street Bridge keeps larger boats out—creating a peaceful slough. The four of us had a very nice Labor Day weekend at the lake. The property was clean and included all we needed for a pleasant stay. The hosts were very responsive to all questions and needs especially when we needed assistance on the lake with the pontoon boat. The boat had many sizes and makes of safety vests on board, all well used. The compartments that held the vests were a bit dirty and bug infested but we got over it. Beyond having a bit of fuel-related mechanical trouble on the boat, we would rent it again. You can’t beat being on the water on a sun-filled day! Be warned, the driveway to the property is very steep, as are some of the steps to the house, so an all-wheel type of vehicle is best to traverse the hill. The lake is beautiful!

This property was super clean, very quiet, and comfortable. It isn't fancy, but it had everything we needed. We drank coffee on the pier, watched the birds, and even caught a few fish. And, since we were there to visit our kids at school, it was great that Auburn is just 25 minutes away. We'd certainly stay here again.

Marian and Brad have an exceptional property if you are looking for a place to unwind and recharge. It is a very quiet area with not a lot of water traffic in front of the cabin. There is a no wake zone coming into the area that keeps the speed down on the boats that do come by. The inside of the property is well laid out and not overly decorated. There are pots, pans and other items that allow you to cook and not have to always go out to eat. There is also a large gas grill and a small charcoal grill if you like to do grilling. A pontoon boat that can be rented is also available and it provided us with an opportunity to get out on the lake that we have not had in a while. My bride of 45 years and i enjoyed our anniversary weekend here very much. We understand that Marian and Brad have other properties here at Lake Martin and we will be searching these out for a future stay also.

Lovely lake cabin in a quiet location. We rented the boat with the property to ensure ease of going back and forth under the low bridge nearby. Plenty of places for us to sleep and be comfortable. Thank you and we loved Lake Martin!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is in a great, quiet location which was great for my two special needs kids. I was a little disappointed to see that there was not a paddle board on site even though I was told there was. Dishwasher doesn’t do a great job of cleaning so we pulled some dishes out of the cabinet from the previous stay that were covered in mustard and ketchup. Water is about 6 feet from the end off the dock which the kids loved since they didn’t have to wear a life jacket.

Family Vacay at Lake Martin

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week-long vacation at Lake Martin. The location was perfect. Quiet with very little boat traffic. The house was clean and comfortable. And renting the pontoon boat for the week was the best. If you rent the house....strongly recommend renting the boat as well. There are lots of places to go on Lake Martin and we took the boat out every day. Would definitely go back again!

We visited for a football game with family and the house is perfect! The lake is beautiful. The decor of the home is beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed for a great weekend visit. We would definitely stay there again.

Great stay, great owners

We had a great time. Renting the pontoon was definitely worth it. Easy communication with owner. The house is clean, and the dock and boat are in good shape. I have a foot injury and a bum knee and was still able to handle the steps and driveway slope.

Nice house and boat!

Upon entering and seeing a large painting of a pier, extending out over lake, I knew the owners had put a good deal of thought into their decorating. The house is well-maintained and the availability of a pontoon boat was a great convenience. Owners are very responsive to questions.

A lovely retreat for Auburn visits

Adorable cabin with amazing outdoor spaces! Screened porch overlooking the lake was peaceful and comfortable. Our daughter and friends loved stopping by for hot dogs and smores by the fire pit. Restaurants, grocery stores, directions, and all necessary information was provided. Wonderful communication! Will be passing this rental link on to other Auburn parents. Wish it was available for graduation weekend!!

Perfect lake cabin

The house was the perfect lake cabin—- rustic on a wooded lot with a nice porch with swings to hang out off the back of the house and a dock where you can hang out by the water. The inside is light and bright and comfortable. The bedrooms are nice and the bathrooms are clean— plenty of hot water even with 6 of us stating there. Also we cooked most of our meals and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils etc We came specifically to go to the auburn game but made a long weekend of it. It was a very short ride to go to the game. In short we had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Great place!

Auburn Parents Weekend

Property was very nice and just a short 30 min drive into Auburn. Didn’t have much time at the house or to visit/eat anywhere near Lake Martin as we we super busy with parent’s weekend and a home night game. Do wish the beds in main rooms were bigger. Will definitely be back and would like to enjoy the Lake next time!
