Leave the car and browse the town's independent shops and weekly market, eat out in the friendly bars and restaurants, and check out what's on at the Playhouse Arts Centre with a cinema and theatre. Nearby, Alnmouth (3 miles) has an excellent sandy beach, a picturesque golf course, and lovely shops and eateries to explore. Discover Warkworth Castle, its pretty village, and walk along the river Coquet (7.5 miles) and the bustling marina and the superb dining in neighbouring Amble (9 miles). Enjoy seafood in Craster (7.5 miles) and the coastal path walk to Dunstanburgh Castle.


This first-floor apartment located behind the market square offers character and style and is a great option for couples and friends looking to explore Northumberland and return to a welcoming home from home. Come through the shared main entrance and head up the flight of stairs to reach the apartment’s front door and you will find an area to hang your coats and store outdoor shoes. Enter the bright and airy lounge/dining room with wooden flooring where the high ceiling and two large sash windows with shutters allow plenty of natural light to flood in. There are two comfortable sofas to relax on after a day’s exploring and a TV with Freeview and a DVD player in the corner for cosy nights in. Use the dining table for sociable mealtimes or to sit and plan your holiday activities. The kitchen is just off the lounge with all the equipment you need for when you don’t want to eat out. Part of the decor includes an original feature range and the solid oak units are topped with a granite work surface. There is a breakfast table and chairs where you can sit to enjoy your morning coffee. At bedtime, there are two charming double bedrooms to choose from, and two bathrooms complete the accommodation, one shower room with a shower cubicle and WC, and one with a bath and WC.


Although there is no outside space, the property is situated in the heart of the town and is just 0.5 miles from several public gardens and green spaces to enjoy.
