The hotel is modern. The staff are helpful. The gym and pool table make staying here even better. The in-room microwave is a nice addition. The shower and bed are really good. The views range from ok to good.
But (there’s always a but) the rooms are noisy due to a whining airconditioner (an issue in rooms 510 and 805); a nearby nightclub can be heard well into Friday night; noise from the street travels. I had to use earplugs.
One of the lifts broke on my first day there and remained broken throughout my stay.
The air conditioning in my room broke second night but the staff acted quickly to find me a new room.
The gym is small but practical - but the TV is broken.
The treadmill is great but the fan and display button are broken.
Room service carefully and professionally refitted my bedding which had a splodge of chocolate on it (my doing) and they didn’t resupply milk.
The provided shampoo is called ‘hair wash’ - which is absolutely fine - but WHY lol.
I might have been unlucky with a few things - and some are minor things - but I do wonder if the owners/managers are perhaps not looking after this wonderful asset. They could check the airconditioner noise of rooms 510 and 805 and see if this is replicated in other rooms - a good night’s sleep is a prerequisite of any hotel.
