This is a beautiful 3 bedroom home with 2 queen beds and 1 King bed. It is also equipped with 2 full bathrooms. There is a Smart TV in every room in the house, which will allow you to watch some channels (If you have an account, you can access Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime). High Speed Wifi throughout the house. Full Kitchen for cooking and washer/dryer inside the home. Everything you will need to make you feel at home. This house is throughly cleaned after every tenant.

  • Joseph Winthrop Holley, born in 1874 to former slaves in Winnsboro, South Carolina, founded the institution in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institute. W. E. B. Du Bois inspired Holley to return to the South after he read Du Bois's writings on the plight of Albany's blacks in The Souls of Black Folk. Holley relocated to Albany to start a school. With the help of a $2,600 gift from the Hazard family, Holley organized a board of trustees and purchased 50 acres (200,000 m2) of land for the campus, all within a year. The aim of the institution at the time was to provide elementary education and teacher training for the local Black population. It was turned over to the state of Georgia in 1917 as Georgia Normal and Agricultural College, a two-year agricultural and teacher-training institution. In 1932, the school became part of the University System of Georgia and in 1943 it was granted four-year status and renamed Albany State College. The transition to four-year status heavily increased the school's enrollment. In 1981 the college offered its first graduate program, a prelude to the school being upgraded to university status in 1996.

Family Reunion

I cant say enough about this house. The pictures doesnt do it any justice. It is beautiful. Very clean smells amazing. The decor is superb. My family and i really enjoyed, the neighborhood is nice, friendly and safe. I will definitely stay again. The host is very thorough, i especially enjiyed the dining suggestions he pisted.

Comfortable and good price. Very communicative host. The only suggestion would be since advertising that it hosts 6, then have six plates, six bowls, etc. only had eat ware for 4. It's not a big deal since there are dollar trees close by. I'd stay there again.

Nice Host

My husband and I stayed in Albany for an event. The house was very clean. The bed and furniture was comfortable. The host was friendly and replied to my questions timely. However, there were a few things that could be improved upon. Neither bath tub holds water so you cannot take a bath, only showers. There were no nightstands beside the bed so you have no where to put your phone, glasses etc. My husband uses a cpap machine to sleep and there was no place to sit it. Several electric outlets in the house did not work. The one on my side of the bed where I would have charged my phone did not work. There was not a working outlet in either bathroom to use a hair dryer but the only mirrors in the house were in the bathrooms. It made it difficult to style my hair. There was no mention of any of these things in any of the other reviews so I thought I would share them.

The home is nicely decorated and in a quiet yet convenient location. I wish there had been additional trash bags available. Hand towels in the bathrooms would have been appreciated. Host is easily contacted.

Comfortable, quiet, and great host!

When we first arrived the home looked like it had not been cleaned from its previous stay. However after contacting the host it turned out that the house cleaner had had a family emergency and was not able to clean the home. Demetric was extremely apologetic and professional. He offered to help out in any way to make it right and gave us several very agreeable options. In the end he paid for our hotel stay that night and had the place cleaned and ready by the following day. We enjoyed our stay there, it was clean, neat, and pleasant. In addition the neighborhood was very quiet and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this place!

Clean and comfy

House is nice sized and very clean; obvious the owner cares! Neighborhood quiet. One minor recommendation would be to place dark curtains over the miniblinds in front bedroom as the streetlight tends to make that room a little bright for some who prefer dark rooms at night. If we find ourselves returning to the area for an event we would strongly consider this home again...thanks!

My family absolutely loved the house in Albany, GA. The house accommodates a family of 4 perfectly. My kids had their own bedrooms and bathroom so it felt like we were at home. I would definitely rent this house again while visiting family in Albany, GA.
