Luxury Spacious Poolside Villa, 30 steps to Beach!

Welcome to Villa Jardin: a luxury villa set within the serenity of a timeless tropical garden, right next to the beach in Half Moon Bay, Akumal. Tropical trees and native flora create a sanctuary where you and your family can relax. Villa Jardin is a separate 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa located in a small condominium complex with the largest pool in Akumal. It is perfect for a larger family or multi-generational group seeking plenty of space and yet privacy. The villa is located right next to our pool and only steps from the beach.

Villa Jardin has 1800 sq ft of living space. The large living and dining areas downstairs provide a comfortable gathering space. A beautiful stained glass window overlooks the dining table. On the second floor there is an outdoor patio perfect for private sunning, twilight dinners or star gazing. The main level is accessed from a front, screened in, patio area which overlooks the pool. Two of the three bedrooms are on the main level. The first is furnished with a king bed, the second with two single beds. Both bedrooms enjoy an enclosed garden area. A full bath services the two bedrooms. The upper level consists of the large master suite, romantically sitting under a high brick domed ceiling. The master suite is furnished with a king bed and enjoys a private bath. It also has a wonderful sitting area for those private moments.

Décor is done in the warm natural colors of the Yucatan region with special emphasis on the blues and greens of Akumal's surrounding jungle and beaches. Throughout the villa, are examples of the pottery, fabrics and artisinal crafts collected by the owners.

Our small complex, La Sirena, is known for its wonderful tropical gardens which attract migrating butterflies, hummingbirds and even the occasional monkey! Within the gardens is our large pool boasting Caribbean blue tiles and even a large lap lane. This is a favored place to relax after time spent on the beach and sand.

La Sirena is located on the northern end of Half Moon Bay, now called North Akumal. As two lots were combined to create our complex, we have double the space AND BEACH as other complexes having the same amount of units.

Akumal is sixty miles south of Cancun International Airport, south on the four lane, newly renovated highway 307. Half Moon Bay (HMB) s considered the 'original' Akumal, along with Akumal Bay. HMB is where most of the beachfront houses and small condo complexes are; and is a designated ecological zone, therefore it is very low density. So while you are close to everything you are in the middle of nowhere as it is very private and quieter. North Akumal is a quiet, laid-back area focused on our beautiful bay and beaches, snorkeling and pristine diving. There are Mayan ruins, golf, nature parks, cenotes, even active nightlife.

As travelers ourselves we have adapted policies to be much more supportive than the standard, including more flexible payment and cancellation options. We have also implemented the most modern current cleaning protocols. And our staff are dedicated only to us, they don't move around to other complexes... Less exposure. Finally our complex is twice the size as others, with the same number of units. So social distancing is natural. Check out our website for details!

Wonderful

Our stay at La Sirena was amazing. Restaurants within walking distance, comfortable ocean front with palapas and chairs, lovely pool, friendly staff. We rented a car from the Tulum airport upon arrival and visited the monkey sanctuary—saw both types of monkeys—and went to a larger grocery store during our stay. The snorkeling was great. The villa was spacious and comfortable. Lots of places to sit in sun or shade. A great holiday spot!

Wonderful family villa with plenty of space

We had a truly wonderful two week stay at Villa Sirena. The villa is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The pool is right outside and we almost had it entirely to ourselves for the two weeks! Plenty of snorkeling equipment as the as the beach is just a short walk away and has lots of fish to see. The sea is perfectly clear and very warm. Communication from Diana was perfect, thank you. We had everything we needed during the stay. Local bars and restaurants just a short walk away. You can get to the main arch in less than 30mins, walking (with teenagers)! A truly fabulous family holiday for the 5 of us!

Recommend!

Comfortable, attractive house in a beautiful garden setting. The pool and seaside (not really a beach) were great. We were in a villa in the complex, 5 adults and one toddler and it worked out well. Getting a response from the owner was iffy: an email and a text while we were there went unanswered. Also, the listing says "30 steps to the beach," which isn't strictly true. It's really about 90 steps—still close.

Best family getaway

We had a fabulous time and only wished we had booked in for longer. The place was amazing and even better than I imagined from photos. We had a flight delay and got in very late, but there were no issues accessing it. It was in a very safe neighborhood and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Diana was so helpful in providing information upfront and checking in with how everything was going. Will definitely come back when we’re in the area. I recommend renting a car and visiting local censored and other points of interest. Also, go to the grocery store in Tulum. Great selection and incredible prices.

Beautiful week at La Sirena

Our family group - four adults and one toddler - loved our stay at this beautiful villa. The house was attractive and comfortable, the landscaping and pool are lovely, and the beach setting can't be beat. Although you may not want to leave La Sirena, it's also just a five-minute walk from Yal-Ku lagoon, and a short drive from many cenotes and the Tulum ruins. We would be delighted to stay here again.

Spring Break

We were two families that stayed here for a partial day over our spring break. We really enjoyed the location! It was lovely to have the pool and the beach access. We had a bit of trouble reaching the manager/service people on call, but all managed to work out. Everything was super clean. Nice to use the masks for a bit of snorkeling. We took full advantage of having a kitchen and Akumal was a perfect home base for visits to Tulum and Chichen Itza.

Perfect vacation spot

Exactly as described. The information provided by the host prior to our visit was thorough and very helpful. The condo had everything we needed. The pool was right outside our door to cool off when needed. Other guest in the area were respectful and quite during quite hours. The beach area (50 yards from the villa) was great for snorkeling or relaxing with a drink! The maid-service was impeccable and very helpful! All within walking distance, you can swim with the turtles at Akumal beach, snorkel off the local beach, and swim in the cenote-lagoon all of which we did and loved. Perfect spot for our family vacation. We loved it here and will likely be back.

25th wedding anniversary

Overall experience was great, it’s a very nice location out of the way of many tourists. The water was great, nice and warm and no one else really there. So if felt like we had it all to our self. I would definitely rent a car to get around. The on duty staff was very very nice and yes I would definitely use them for any questions. Please tip them well they do awesome. Go out to the out of town restaurant they are very authentic and very much worth the price. Overall I would do again.

Loved the place!

I came with 3 friends for a birthday trip in September and we loved the place! The unit is steps away from the beach, there’s a pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is directly across from a police station which made us feel safe when we came in late from partying. Place was clean, everyone was comfortable and happy with our selection.

Villa Jardin #16

We had a great trip to Akumal and the stay at Villa Jardin was exactly as described. The condo was excellent and the pool/garden area was beautiful, the ocean is just a few steps away and the water was fantastic. You definitely need water shoes as the coral and rocks come right up to the sea wall, and you get great snorkeling without having to leave the Viila. We did have couple of issues with the WiFi in the condo and getting fresh drinking water delivered as needed, but Diana, the owner was on top of those problems. We will definitely return and hope for a much longer stay. There is much to explore in the area and we didn’t get to take advantage of it all. However, you really don’t need or want to leave this Villa or it’s beautiful beach.

The place we stayed was great. Well stocked with no issues. I would stay there again if I went back. However, I was very disappointed in the people. The exchange rate was over 20 to 1 and they just made up there own exchange rate 17 1819to 1 so they got the credit card when they would take it. Several of the people were just rude with smart remarks. We have been to several places in Mexico and the people here by far were the worse. Maybe it was because of Covid and they were just trying to come back from it. I have so many more issues that we encountered but to many to explain. Not sure but we will not go back to Akumal. Not because of the place but the people.

Paradise!

The villa was lovely, well-equipped and spacious, set in a beautiful garden area with a lovely pool. The reef in front of the resort was fabulous, a real bonus - there was lots to see and it was really sheltered and calm (you'll need some reef/water shoes though as it's a bit rocky getting into the water) The Yal-Ku Lagoon is only a couple of minutes away, and was also amazing for snorkelling. There was a small shop about 10 mins walk away, but otherwise it's good to have a car, hire a buggy or to use a taxi, as it's a good 30 mins walk in the heat to reach the other shops in Akumal. That said, we did walk so it is do-able without a car! We also took collectivos from the main highway to see cenotes, which was easy and fun. Would highly recommend!

Love this place!

This place was beautiful! Everyone we encountered here was so friendly. The manager communicated everything before we got there and checked in with us via email while we were there. This place is peaceful and the pool was wonderful. You can walk to Yal-Ku Lagoon, which was one of our favorite places in the area. You can also walk to restaurants. We will be back!

Great Family Unit

Loved this property for our family of 6 adults. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was lovely. We are a snorkeling family and loved the ability to snorkel from shore. The eagle rays are fun to watch when they are full on eating when the tide is low! The staff was professional and nice. Our unit was cleaned every day and we were always proved enough drinking water. We loved the low key vibe!

Half Moon Bay

Enjoyed the setting for this condo- gardens are a plus, beach and snorkeling (gear provided) was a few steps away, kitchen is fully equipped - thanks for the coffee in the freezer! The pool is lovely, and boy did the neighboring kids love it! Local restaurants were worthy. We would stay here again. Thanks!

A great Family retreat !

We stayed at Diana’s Villa Jardin for 4 nights after spending 6 nights down the road in Tulum “Tankah Shores”. We could easily have spent the entire stay in Akumal. It is a good location for bouncing around and checking out the Cenotes, Tulum and all the other activities . We use VRBO a lot and will definitely go back to this cool spot.

Beautiful, Clean, Quiet & Comfortable

I have to admit, at first I was thinking maybe I should of rented a condo with an ocean view but at the end of the day we were so very happy with our choice. The flow of the condo is perfect for a family. With the two bedrooms downstairs and the master upstairs - it really allows for that additional space and sense of privacy. The master bedroom is just beautiful especially with that brick ceiling above the bed - I have never seen anything like that before, stunning! The entire condo is tastefully decorated and you really feel "at home" while you are there. Being so close to the pool was perfect for morning dips and just a short walk down the path and up a few steps to the beach. I loved having the gardens and pool as well as the beach - I felt like we got the best of both worlds. The beach is quiet and private and you can snorkel right out front - does not get much better than that! Just bring your water shoes, it's a rocky beach bottom not sandy. It's also just a short walk to Yal Ku for lagoon snorkeling - always one of my favorite places to go when in Akumal. We rented a golf cart which worked perfect for going into the beach town for eating and shopping. During the summer season, I would highly recommend this as even though it is just a 1.3 mile walk which is very pleasant , in the heat of the day it can be a bit much. La Sirena will definitely be our top pick if when we come back to Akumal - it's lovely, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Felt like we were "home" while being away from home.

Amazing Property and Wonderful Casita

Villa Jardin at La Sirena Condominiums was a perfect accommodation for our group of four adults and two kids. The private beach was beautifully kept and the views were outstanding. Walkable to everything Akumal has to offer. Property manager Francesca was always available and a tremendous help with a rental car predicament. Overall, a fabulous place to vacation.
