Beautiful, bright, spacious and very pleasant apartment with several terraces all around and a magnificent view of the Jourdan Park. The apartment is located a 10-minute walk from Cours Mirabeau, and the superb Mazarin district. The 50m2 living room with a view of the park trees and the sunsets invites you to quickly disconnect. Air conditioning just installed. The beds are new, the bathrooms also new & the open kitchen, fully equipped. There are 2 toilets. Nearby shops. The apartment is on the first floor. There is no elevator. The steps are wide and gentle and reasonably fit travelers fromall ages have been staying in the apartment.There is also private parking in the residence included in the price. Exotic and disconnected!
Sofa bed with sofa bed that can possibly accommodate 2 people in the living room.
Check in usually between 4pm and 8pm .
Additional fee of 30€ until 10pm to pay directly to the co-hostess
40euros after 11pm

1. Spacious apartment- truthful description on vrbo listing as being a 2-BR, 2-BA apartment on the 2nd European floor with no lift2. Free secure parking within the property a huge plus - I actually did not expect this amenity although I recall it was mentioned on listing; but it’s excellent to have and not worry about parking our rented car. 3.Living area faces an open, green space, super pleasant to be in4. Much natural light in living area (two sitting areas and formal dining area) make for a pleasant time during the day5. Small balconies in every room-wonderful6. Location - quiet, safe neighborhood just a shirt walk from the nicest residential area of Maxarine, where all the nice homes on quaint streets are7. Utile Supermarket, a boulangerie, a bodega and an apothecary are between apartment building and Mazarine, which is the beginning of of Aix’s historic center (from that angle anyway)8. The best restaurant we discovered - unfortunately only on oir last night there - in Aix is Le Brocherie (The Grill?) is on Rue de Mazarine, a really short walk from the property9. We visited a couple of very nice museums not far from the property, also in the historic center of Aix but close to Sophie's apartment - the very best one we happened to visit was in an annex, a former chapel, of Musee Granet (the Jean Planque Collection - brilliant)10. Sophie's co-host Najwa, our contact during our stay, was very nice and responsive to our text messages asking questions and help

What a wonderful experience we had here! Our first time in France and everything about this apartment was perfect. We easily walked to the old city almost every day and thoroughly enjoyed the shops and restaurants of Aix. We would recommend this property and its hosts to anyone. Although the garage was small we had no problem carefully getting our 5 passenger car into it. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Pros: Very spacious for 2 couples. Lovely, clean, quiet and bright- lots of windows and doors for outlook to green park & fresh air. Beautiful sunsets. Kitchen well-equipped. Tons of towels. Bathroom fixtures all new. Comfy beds. Great location. Photos are accurate. Cons: Second bathroom very small for 2 adults. Second bedroom windows do not open, fan or ac only, and not enough hanging space in closet there. A few items need attention: missing lightbulbs, no instructions for tv or dvd/cd (too bad, there’s lots of them there we would have liked to listen to/view), freezer in fridge completely iced - impossible to put anything in there. Most disappointing was check-in. We texted multiple times as instructed to host, confirmed arrival time, but no one there on arrival. No reply to texts or calls for over an hour. Oh no, was this all a scam? There’s no place to park, so had to keep driving around for over an hour. Finally a WhatsApp text from a third person! with instructions on how to enter, garage, keys etc. Stressful start, but once we settled in, it was fine.

My husband and I had just a wonderful stay at Haven last week. Perfect location- quick walk to Center. We did not have a car, walked everywhere. Overlooks a beautiful park. We enjoyed looking out the main window at the park and watching the sunsets. Our bed was comfy. Has two bathrooms and found helpful having a walk in shower. Definitely go to the markets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. A beautiful place. Look forward to returning.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The location right across from the park was great and it was an easy walk into town for shopping and dining. Cleanliness very good. The beds were comfortable and in good shape. Our only complaints were that is was quite dim in the evenings with only a few lamps in the large living room and 1 in the bedroom. Also, a few maintenance issues which we promptly reported but were told would be dealt with after our departure. The most serious was a broken kitchen tap which would have been a bigger deal had we been doing more cooking. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Haven of peace was a wonderful apartment for us. We stayed over two weeks at this quiet but centrally located apartment. It has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a huge living area, a big dining table where I was able to set up my computer and work. There are balconies off both bedrooms, one off the kitchen area with a drying line for laundry and a large terrace in front that faces Parc Jourdan. The location is spectacular. Three minutes walk up the road are a bakery, small Vival grocery store, pharmacy and a Lebanese take out restaurant. We walked about 7 minutes to Musee Granet for the Cezanne 2025 exhibition. We loved walking along the Rue D'Italie with its many shops and restaurants on the way to the central Cours Mirabeau. The apartment has air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms, which we needed during our stay. Furniture is comfortable. The building is nice with just 8 units in total. There is no elevator and the unit is on the second floor. The included parking in the back of the building was a huge plus for us; it's a private, lockable one car garage rather than the usual multi-car parking garage. We would definitely stay here again if we need to be in Aix. Thank you Sophie and Najwa for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful, spacious apartment across from Parc Jourdain on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the old town, and a memorable stay. Had easy dedicated parking, AC, washing machine, and wi-fi - all big pluses. We stayed for 6 nights and did various day trips to Arles, Gordes, Roussillon, and Marseille. My son and I also hiked to the top of Mont Sainte Victoire and Le Croix de Provence.The experience was like being a local living in a nice apartment in Aix-en-Provence. You just slide into it.Loved the stay and thanks to our hostess Sophie.

The property has a large living room facing onto the park. There are multiple balconies, and the kitchen is well equipped. Both bedrooms are comfortable for 2 people. The area is quiet but is also only a 10-minute walk from the Cours Mirabeau in the centre of Aix. Communication with the owner was easy.

Family visit to Aix

The location of this apartment was ideal, close to city centre and the markets. The air conditioning was wonderful as it was very hot when we were visiting. The apartment has a parking space for a small car. All and all a very nice place.

This is a return visit to what we consider our place in Aix! We love the location, size of condo, proximity to the park, and the lovely terrace. The parking garage is a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and the AC works nicely. Some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but overall comfortable.

Wonderful property in great Aix, France location

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was perfect for the 4 of us. Beds were comfy(1 king, 2 singles), location terrific. Easy walking to center of city. Great Boulangerie very close and a tiny pizza place where we ate our first night was so close and perfect for jet lagged travelers!!Nice kitchen and lots of places to sit. Highly recommend.

A notre arrivée nous avons constaté que le garage était trop petit pour notre voiture familiale, la propriétaire et la gérante nous on dit que c’était la première fois qu’on leur disait..à nous de nous débrouiller pour trouver de la place sur la voie publique.L’état général de l’appartement laisse grandement à désirer, tout est vieux et en mauvais mauvais état.

Peaceful on the Park

The flat is as good as advertised, a spacious, beautifully equipped apartment with balconies all around, and a beautiful view of the Parc Jourdan. Time at the playground, meeting locals, was particularly delightful for the 5-year old among us. Despite a withering heat wave, the flat stayed cool with excellent AC, and the walk to the city center, just a few minutes away, was pleasant. Good value and great amenities. Would stay there again!

Although we were rushed by Najwa as she had another person to check in, we managed to figure most things out. We missed her daughter’s door ring as we didn’t know how to use the phone, but no worries! We loved the apartment and hated to leave after 2 weeks! If we return to Aix, we would definitely stay here!

Sophie was a great host. Despite challenges with bathroom timing she was very communicative, responsive, and accommodating. We loved the place- so sunny, and the location was superb - overlooking park and 10 min walk to just about everything. The place was very well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s place. Only suggestion - put that beautiful rug shown in the photos back in to warm it up. The photos really sold it and that rug helped make the room come alive. We definitely recommend this place for travelers to Aix!

Exploring Rosé

Our group of 4 friends stayed at this property for 1 week. Very good location. The parking spot was locked, with gated access. We had a Toyota Corolla and it just fit. The apartment itself had a large common area facing the Parc Jourdan with 3 french doors opening unto a balcony. We kept the ice bucket in the shade out on the balcony. The apartment, while flooded with light during the day, had dim illumination in the evening hours- many floorlamps. This gave the apartment a wonderful evening ambiance. The over-the-range light switch was broken, but by inserting a key into the slot and manually sliding the moving part inside, it was possible to turn the light on and off. The dryer is an evaporation dryer. The dryer door requires encouragement to stay closed - prop the door shut with the laundry hamper set on a towel on the floor to anchor it. The washing machine worked well & smelled clean. The water pressure in the showers was good. Hot water - no shortage. Radiator heat. Remember to open the bath window to help control the post- shower humidity as there is some paint peeling in the baths. Some caning on the dining chairs was broken. The apartment was clean, the beds comfy. The second bedroom was made up with two twins. The kitchen had plenty of plates, dishes, champagne flutes, wine glasses and cheese knives etc. The lower kitchen cabinets smell of cooking oil that has not been cleaned - a bit rancid. Perhaps a deep clean there could be arranged :) I would rent again👍

Great location but needs repair

The unit was spacious and airy but many of the chairs were broken. There were numerous tables and useless stuff. Many lights didn't work and there was an unpleasant smell emanating from the kitchen drawers. The deck furniture hadn't been cleaned. The place could be exceptional but needs some TLC.

What not to like

Great property for 2 couples . Nice and close to old town but far enough out with lovely view over park to get away from town hustle . Easy walk to train station. All cooking utensils to make great home meals after visiting local markets . Highly recommend the property

Wanted to love it

We were met at the apartment by the owner’s partner’s assistant. She was friendly and gave us a tour of the apartment. It was spacious and filled with light during the day. About 10 minutes after she left I noticed a substantial leak under the master bedroom sink . There was a small glass bowl that had been put there to remedy the leak but by our arrival it had served no purpose. I got in touch with our contact who let us in and she made her way back to us the following evening. She said she need to get a plumber and shut the water to the washing machine off. We were no longer able do laundry without disrupting the leak. We had purchased detergent and were looking forward to doing wash after 4 days in Paris. In the meantime I had let Sophia, the owner ,know that there was a leak and that apartment was not cleaned well. A dirty coffee maker , rug not vacuumed and crumbs on the dining room table . She apologized. The rest of our stay was uncomfortable, not knowing what was really properly cleaned. The blankets in storage were dirty, lamps not working and the first mug I pulled from the cupboard was dirty with coffee stains ( the kind that clean off) The property needs more attention and a deep clean. Good location and lots of potential.
