The experience was everything I dreamed it would be - vehicle shuttle into the town in the morning to sight see and shop before the ferry boats brought in too many tourists, when we could call for the boat shuttle to collect us on the pier and help us escape back to the hotel by water (so much fun and with stunning views the whole way!) to lounge either at the pool or the beach. "We booked a little late into the season so selection of room for our 6 days wasn't great. We had a balcony and beautiful sea view last year. This year we had to make do with a smaller room - rear view and an unusable balcony (too tight to get into and not a great view onto rear of property). Other than that the hotel is really great. It's situated high up and has amazing views onto Vietri town and beach. It is exceptionally clean and well maintained. We looked forward to a phenomenal breakfast...

"The hotel is well situated on the outside of Amalfi town with good views and in a convenient location. We drove from another part of Italy and the drive was fun, although GPS isn't the best sometimes and its easy to make a wrong turn, so be prepared. The hotel is not for everyone, i would not recommend it to anyone on a budget. However, if money is not an issue for you, this is one of the better hotels. We stayed in the Villa area which is a short golf cart ride away from the hotel itself. Here...

However, as it relates to the amenities and cleanliness this is far from a 5-star experience.
