Description

Embark on this gondola excursion to the Venetian islands and explore the fascinating islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello. Learn about Murano's historic glass-making factories, discover Burano's brightly colourful houses and its centuries-old lace-making tradition and Torcello's ancient Byzantine churches.

Your first stop is Murano, renowned all over the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Watch talented glass artists create beautiful works of art: from pretty souvenirs and jewellery to magnificent lamps and chandeliers.

The next island you will visit is Burano, known for its brightly coloured houses where fishermen live and its local lace-making industry. You will also get opportunity to choose some unique artisanal souvenirs to take home with you.

Your final stop is Torcello, the island where the earliest settlement of Venice was established and home to several Byzantine churches. Although once it was more populated and powerful than Venice, today on the island live only 20 people. The causes of its decline and depopulation is still shrouded in mystery.

Enjoy the panoramic boat, from where you can take marvellous pictures to Venice and its lagoon.

The tour ends in Piazza San Marco, here you can use our app (included in the price!) that provides audio descriptions of 30 attractions in the San Marco and Rialto areas! Download this extraordinary app on your device and discover the history of Venice!

Your was nice, expect people to be a little impatient getting in/off the boat but don’t worry plenty of seats. Third town/stop was best. Would suggest tour on own thru public transport if u have the time and u want to stay longer to look/shop. First stop was way too short to expect to really buy anything but the demo was great. 2nd stop had food and one cute shop for linens but be careful on what u buy as the last stop has ton more options and cheaper prices.

Islands had little time at each stop but it was still an overall great experience. If anything, I'd like way more time at Burano.
