Instructions coming from the South (Lisbon): Exit the A1 at the exit 11 of Condeixa/Tomar. Follow the IC2/IC3 to Coimbra for 6.7 km. Cross the Rainha Santa Isabel bridge. Follow EN17, VN Poiares @ the bridge. Follow EN110, Penacova @ the roundabout of Portela. Continue for 1.1 km, the entrance gate is on your right.

De qué podrás disfrutar

Tras reunirte con tu guía turístico por la mañana, te trasladarán a Penacova y te proporcionarán el equipo de kayak y algunas instrucciones. A continuación, parte de la presa de Carvoeira en una excursión en kayak con una longitud total de 18 km (11 millas).

Navegarás en kayak por el valle natural del río Mondego, rodeado de extensos bosques. Mientras viajas río abajo, pasarás por las pequeñas aldeas de Ronqueira, Rebordosa, Louredo, Foz do Caneiro y Casal.

Esta parte del río está llena de pequeñas playas donde puedes parar a hacer un picnic o ir a darte un baño. En la playa fluvial de Palheiros, encontrarás un pequeño bar donde podrás comprar un helado o una cerveza fría.

El río suele tener una corriente ligera, lo que hace que el piragüismo sea fácil y accesible para todas las edades. Termina en Torres do Mondego, tras 3-4 horas de kayak y descansos por el camino. Prevé llegar entre las 15.00 y las 17.00 horas.
