Great Experience at The Standard
We visit Miami several times a year but couldn’t get a room at our usual hotel on South Beach because it was Super Bowl weekend. So we fortuitously discovered The Standard and will definitely stay there again. We were thankfully upgraded to a Large Dry room at check in. It was very clean and comfortable with a daybed, large shower, and roomy closet. The hotel is very unique~ hip and funky with a very young European vibe that’s hard to explain. After checking in we had lunch overlooking the bay. It’s a beautiful setting with a nice size pool and lush gardens. We also enjoyed drinks at the bar every night and breakfast in the lobby restaurant every morning. Location was ideal because it’s just enough off the beaten path yet a 5 minute walk to Lincoln on South Beach. I barely had a chance to take advantage of the spa but will next time. If you don’t necessarily care to be on the beach this is a great choice. It’s very accessible to South Beach, as well as the Design District and Downtown, but in a quiet residential neighborhood on a tiny island. Oh, and the place smells wonderful! We liked it so much we stayed an extra couple of days...

Safe Have
I loved the hotel, but I wish I would not have pais for the wet room, bescause 3/4 of my stay I was unable to us the bathtub.

Not Impressed- Didn’t Even Want To Look At The Room!
When you think of the Standard LA or The Standard NYC- you might think luxury, beautifully kept grounds and high quality comfort. Well, The Standard Miami was none of the above! In fact, it is the complete opposite. Don’t go by the pictures on the site because you will be sorely disappointed upon arrival. The "inifnity" pool offers nothing but a view of a dirty river and dock. There is no surrounding beach. The pool was going through major construction and the Waterfall looks like it can barely fit two people in it. The gorgeous tubs you see in the pictures? Those are located in what looks like a tented porch. For the amount of money you’re paying to stay there- The hotel is VERY LOW Maintenance and unkempt. If you are looking for luxury, nightlife, high spirited fun- do not go here.
