"A really lovely house in a beautiful peaceful location. Comfortable ( especially the beds) and cosy. So nice to be able to go for walks straight from the front door and an ideal spot for visiting Avebury and other ancient sites in the area. The owner was friendly and helpful. Would love to return."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, and would happily return. It’s close to both Marlborough and Avebury and there are lots of interesting walks from the latter. There’s a good pub within easy walking distance. Warm cottage, comfy large bed and a great shower. The host responded immediately to a question we had and was very helpful."

"Easter weekend was an absolute treat staying at this super cool, quirky and supremely comfortable cottage. We could not have asked for more. Brilliant hosts, fabulous décor throughout with wonderful touches and kind thoughts put into treats, flowers, attention to detail, super duper products……I could go on and on. 100% recommend for peace and quiet in a beautiful part of the country, we LOVED every moment as did our dog. Bathtub was incredible, we felt very decadent with our non-alcoholic fizz....

"I chose this property because of its proximity to Longleat and for the wonderful reviews. I add my own 5 stars as it is exactly what has been described. Several points to consider before staying is if you want to sleep in, bring an eye mask (I always carry one). There are a lot of windows but no darkening shades. Use google maps as my first attempt was made using the map on my iPhone and I ended up in a work zone. When I used google maps (which the owner intended) I had no problem. Also note try...

"We are a family with 3 teens/adult children so enjoyed them having a room each to relax and have space. The single bathroom was a little tricky to manage and for access so not so suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The garden was lovely and the cottage well equipped for our Easter short break. We had a lovely walk in the countryside which was easy to navigate from the cottage. Thank you for the flowers in the cottage and all your thoughtful touches. Would definitely recommend"

"The apartment was located on the grounds of an old and amazing rectory, which is very close to Lacock village (3 minutes walking) which is a lovely and beautiful place. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Helen and her husband were always helping and very friendly with us.
