"The Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Heping is located in downtown Tianjin. You can easily walk to the main shopping road (about 600 meters) and you have a subway line right in the building (about 50 meters). The hotel is a standard Holiday Inn, with the standard rooms and the standard breakfast. The breakfast is included and consists of Chinese and Western breakfast, which is very convenient. The rooms are pretty big and the bathroom as well. The hotel could need some renovation at some places but...

"Strong smell of tobacco. Even requesting non smoking room, there was a strong smell of tobacco the whole night, coming probably from the air ducts. We barely could sleep there. The hotel is outdated and needs a renovation, but the location is good. A good choice if you don’t mind the smell. "

"Everything is good except the WIFI strength is horrible. Even have difficulty obtain the necessary connection to access email. Luckily I am on golfing trip to Tianjin. If you are on business trip and require wifi access to conduct business, then you better think twice to check in to this hotel. I have to consume almost close to US40 of my own data plan to communicate although I am on leisure trip to Tianjin. "

"Expedia gave incorrect geographical coordinates and I ended up stranded in a inhospitable neighborhood. The hotel reacted quickly. They sent a taxi to pick me up; apologized; upgraded my room from basic to presidential; and offered a fantastic meal at no cost. My initial outrage changed into appreciation. My gratitude goes to the hotel staff. Thank you."

"What a peaceful place, you are really treated like royalty! Was a bit difficult getting hold of the hotel to make a booking. I couldn't do it on their website & didn't get responses from their email but the hotel confirmed everything through Expedia which was great. The buffets are amazing!! Really awesome place. "

"Overall a good hotel, it is indeed a Sherathon, but with some important faults. Our room was non-smoking, but through the bathroom air ducts came a strong smell of tobacco from other rooms, and as a consequence there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The management of the restaurant is not at the level of a hotel of this category: very limited selection and they did not have some of the already scarce choices. We asked for a cheese plate (was in the menu) but they did not have cheese... "
