"Overall the experience was great. Walking distance to any of the restaurants, an outdoor store in case you forgot anything and a supermarket. The parking is not at the hotel itself as there are two lots (one north and one south) but you can park in front,check in, drop off your luggage then go park the car. You need to ask for the remote to the air conditioner. My only complaint for the stay is that I wish it had a mini fridge because if I want something cold for an early hike nothing opens...

"We really wanted to like this place - it’s a gorgeous, old stone chalet with great photos. Unfortunately, we were met by an unpleasant man who led us to a very small room that had a horrific smell. We tried to air the place out but it didn’t fix the problem. We asked about the smell, assuming that we be moved to a different room, but the man was irritated at our request and gave us a bottle of pine cleaner to pour down the sink drain...and that didn’t fix it. "Lovely hotel set in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff but not good service in the restaurant. We were left for 20 minutes with nothing to drink and no sign of a wine menu. An American family next to us had the same experience. It seemed the Spanish guests were getting preferential treatment. Tea and coffee in the rooms would be nice as well, something other Parador hotels offer."

"I booked what I thought was a family room- we got a room with two bunk beds so I ended up sleeping on one of the top bunks as my youngest child is too young for that. Not a real problem for one night but the smell of methane coming from the bathroom was a real hazard. Even with the bathroom door shut and an open window, the children woke up with feeling dizzy and we couldn't wait to get out. "The Diamo is a beautiful hotel with a fabulous view of the valley. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, comfortable and the bathroom was also very clean. Breakfast was excellent, and offered a good choice of cold ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, croissant, toast, jam & butter etc.and the coffee was excellent.
