Description

Take a seat in the very classroom where William Shakespeare learned to write as you pay a visit to the Tudor-era schoolroom where the Bard was educated and inspired. Watch informative films, admire the well-preserved mediaeval architecture, and listen as engaging guides bring the world's greatest playwright to life.

Step into Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall and travel back in time to the Stratford of the 16th century. Take a seat in the room where a studious young Shakespeare once sat as a pupil, see the Council Chamber where his father once served as bailiff, and imagine the performances that once took place here, inspiring Shakespeare's future masterpieces.

During your visit, you can participate in an interactive lesson, learn about Shakespeare's early life in his home town, and watch films about the historical significance of the Guildhall, which was built all the way back in 1420. Chat with knowledgeable guides, and hear how the Shakespeare family was involved in Stratford's civic life during this engaging journey to the past.

Informative and enthusiastic guides but our master did not give us the Latin lesson that we expected. He just gave us information. Our daughter enjoyed trying out the quill pens.
