What you can expect

Experience Kilauea at Hawai'i Volcanoes' National Park, projecting some of the most unique and cherished cultural landscapes in the world. Get a birds-eye-view of the most geologically active environment on Earth which has been continuously erupting since 1983. View the UNESCO World Heritage Site with opportunity to see lava flows while learning about the history and culture of Hawai'i.

Fly over miles of lush forests and waterfalls as you head to witness the long-lasting power of Kilauea and how it's continouously shaping Hawaii's youngest island. Once you reach the longest continuously erupting volcano in the world, marvel at the billows of smoke and steam rising from the crater's vent. In ideal conditions and with a bit of luck for the right location, you might even get to watch the glowing red lava slowly flow to meld with the waters of the Pacific. Then, fly above the verdant terrain flanking the Wailuku River, where waterfalls cascade into beautiful emerald ponds, before your return flight back to Hilo.

Tour routes and sights visited may vary according to wind and weather conditions. Volcanic activity varies hourly.

Blue Hawaiian’s fleet consists of the best touring helicopters in the industry. Featuring state-of-the-art Airbus Eco-Star helicopters. While cutting flight noise by around 50 percent over the isle’s delicate ecologies, the Eco-Star also pampers you in serene comfort and opens up wide-screen views never before seen from a helicopter. The custom upgraded VIP interior has all forward-facing seats with 180 degree views & “theatre-style” platform in rear seating. The advanced 4-camera in-flight video system capturing pilot narration and cinematic music choreographed to scenery is available for viewing and purchase after your flight. A perfect keep-sake to remember your flight and share with friends back home.
