Beautiful view in amazing location
High up overlooking the sea and old castle the villa is well placed to enjoy your stay. The house is lovely with good separation on the rooms which all have a great view. Kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for indoor or outdoor dining at home. Was a bit cool on our stay to enjoy the pool and we had to use the portable heaters in the mornings to warm things up but for March it was expected. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay still within easy reach of Granada (<1 hour drive), Malaga (1.25 hrs) and the entire coast. Nerja caves are a great attraction for kids and are just 30 mins away. Lots to see and do in the area.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience staying at this property in Salobrena! Mara was a kind and generous host who answered so many questions for us prior to our trip, and remained in regular contact throughout our stay. The vacation property is a spectacular, immaculately clean home that would easily sleep a large family. Mara has a flare for design and has used it to create a bright open space that is relaxing, inviting and comfortable. It is located at the top of a mountain and has a breath taking view of the ocean from every room in the house. It is a 10 minute drive from Salobrena, or a 20-30 minute drive from other charming towns such as Frigiliana, or Nerja. It is also a stone’s throw from Grenada, where we went for two days during our stay. The home is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. It is located among many interesting towns and places to explore on day trips. By the end of our stay Mara felt much more like a friend, than our host and we will be sure to return to this spectacular gem of a vacation rental! It will not disappoint!
Exceptional!!
This beautiful villa surpassed all of our expectations. The comfortable and spacious accommodation is furnished beautifully and has the most incredible views imaginable - completely breathtaking! To top it all Mara is the perfect host. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and Mara was exceptional when one of our party injured themselves on a day out. She recommended a great Doctor, provided assistance with medical translations and even arranged taxis to take us to hospital. Mara really was an absolute Godsend! It is not only the fabulous accommodation but Mara's kindness and generosity that have made this a truly memorable holiday. We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our family and friends. This is a hidden jewel not to be missed!
A Special Place
Sometimes it is hard to say why a place is so special. It is the ancient mountains, the blue of the sea, the breeze, the birds, the trees. It is this house, the way it sits on the hill, it's design and it is Mara, her love of beauty, of peace, of the East. An amazing week in a stunning situation, a beautiful Silver Anniversary and two very content teenagers. Thank you, Mara, we will never forget!
