Stay here if hiking in Sierra Nevada!

I loved the town of Capileira! We rented this last minute while in Spain because we were hiking Sierra Nevada - Mulchen. This town is perfect for that hike because only a 20-25 min drive to Hoya de Portillo where you can park to start hike. This little town has a few cute restaurants (dinner and breakfast) and a chocolate shop (open Fri-Sat). The apartments were not luxury but with original construction of this area was certainly nice and what I expected. The beds were average. There are additional blankets as the blankets the beds are made with are thin. Easy parking next to apartments on side of the road. Very nice hosts who check you in at the Porqueira hostel down the road. There is no wifi at the apartments but I think we could have got on the wifi at the hostel. Since we were hiking the kitchen was key. We brought food for hike and would make eggs for breakfast. There is a little market to purchase wine in Bubion and Capileira if you neeed.

Perfectly pleasant apartment in the centre with a beautiful view from the balcony. Hot water, good shower and really comfortable beds. Perfect for a group of travellers. On site parking too.
