Come experience the magic of lakeside living. Please read the entire description before booking to ensure you book the correct unit for your group's size and needs. Our newly built lakefront cottage was built with vacation rental in mind.

This listing is to book unit: Bluegill, is a one bed one bath unit with a king bed (sleeps 2). To book the entire cottage or a different unit, please find the corresponding listing for your dates or reach out with any questions. The entire cottage has 3 units, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and sleeps 9 total.

This unit has a king bed, full bath with a walk in shower, a kitchenette and living room space with a dining table. Each unit has its own lake front porch over looking Deer Point Lake.

Deer Point lake is known for its big bass and record Shellcrackers so bring your fishing pole, boat or jet ski. There are 2 fishing Kayaks, a charcoal grill, picnic table, and a lake side fire pit for guest use. A private boat dock and trailer parking is available for guest use as well. There is a 50 amp / 240 volt EV plug for our guests traveling in electric vehicles, and a 50 amp RV site on the property if you are traveling in an RV.

By allowing our guests to book the units in the cottage separately, you only pay for what you need. Each unit has its own private entrance and key pad, and guests have access to a full washer and dryer.

We allow dogs with an additional pet fee. Dogs must be crated or taken with the owner if you leave the property.

Other details to note:
The cottage is located 25 minutes from Panama City beach, Pier Park, and several other beaches. It is only 15 minutes from Panama City airport, 20 minutes from Tyndall Air Force Base, and a 45 minute drive to Seaside and 30A area.

Self check-in with keypad. Each unit has a private entrance with door code locks and a common laundry area.

Bring your own firewood and charcoal for use of the firepit and grill.

Bring your boat or jet skis to explore the lake, or enjoy some great fishing as the lake has very little fishing pressure on it. Fishing, hunting, birding, kayaking, or boating on the rivers make for great day activities. Relaxing on the lake just steps outside your front door is also a good option.

Additional $15 to have access to the EV charger during your stay. The RV Pad has sewage, water, electrical at the pad, and there is an additional charge if you would like to use it during your stay.

Noisy unclean lake house apt

Did not realize I was one of three small apartments in the building. Other tenants were very noisy and did not have small dog on lease. My spot the bedding was not clean as it had a blood stain on it. Owner felt refunding my cleaning fee was enough and asked me to not have the incident affect me leaving a negative review. Baseboards were filthy and after the bedding incident I don’t think anything was cleaned at all in the place. I washed my own bedding and towels and washed the mix matched dishes myself before using. Not a cheap place for 4 days and I was very upset and disappointed. The property is in a great spot on the water but paper thin walls when others are in other apts. Barely had any kitchenware. Extremely disappointing stay. One of the worst I have had.

I refused to stay at this property.

I arrived after a 13 1/2 hour drive. This property is in a ran down trailer park, which is very sketchy looking. I went inside the property, pulled the bed back. The sheets appeared to have been slept in and there was gooey stuff on the pillowcase. I refuse to stay at this property due to the neighborhood being sketchy and ran down. I had paid for eight days and was there less than 10 minutes. I would’ve never booked this property knowing it was in the middle of a ran down trailer park!

Quiet, Cozy and Comfortable

This was the first VRBO property we stayed at so we didn't know what to expect. We were surprised how cozy and comfy everything was. Our room was very nice and we loved the livingroom and kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The amenities were all working and water pressure was good. I liked that there was a washer and dryer in the hallway.We were very lucky in that we had neighbors who were quiet and kept the same hours as us so that was a plus. The area seems really safe and we had no issues with anyone poking around who shouldn't be. We loved that the property isn't in the middle of the tourist areas. Restaurants are still easily accessed, just 20 minutes to the south and Mexico Beach was an easy drive. (During February.)We highly recommend this property and plan to revisit in the future.

Highly Recommend to Military Families looking for temp Lodging

I stayed on a lake with property for the price of a standard hotel room. How can you beat that? Host was accommodating even though we had dogs. Kayaks were provided and it was an overall great experience. We rented two units for privacy and additional space for our belongings we brought along with our move.

i stayed for a month and pretty much everything was fine as far as cleanliness goes my only complaints are the walls are quite thin so if you aren’t blessed with a self aware guest you will definitely hear all that is going on in their room and i mean everything and the host was not super friendly either but other than that it was okay

PCB getaway

What a great place. Our whole family rented the whole house last summer. This time we rented one of the rooms. Perfect for two of us. Comfortable king bed. Kitchenette was well setup for our needs. We used the kayaks and explored the lake. Pier park is about 25 minutes away. We love the beach but staying out there is not our thing. We loved waking up to the lake view sipping coffee on the porch. We will be back.
