Contemporary apt with amazing sea view in CANCALE

  • Recently renovated, our apartment "Escale des Rimains" (75m2) located on the 1st floor of a typical house of Cancale in a quiet district offers a high standing service. It is very suitable for families and small groups of friends, wishing to enjoy an exceptional sea view journey (3 windows with sea view) in a cozy and modern apartment. The garden (2000m2) leads to the famous "Coastal path" with direct sea access (view of the oyster beds). the windows show a great view of the Mont-Saint-Michel.

    The apartment has 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms (plus 1 sofa bed in the living room). The kitchen is entirely equipped (fridge / freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher etc.) and a washing machine is provided. All the furnitures of the apartment are brand new!

    The Rimains district is very quiet and is only few steps away from the famous gastronomic restaurant "La Maison de Bricourt" held by Olivier Roellinger.

    The apartment is only 900 meters away from the shops (church, restaurants and supermarket) and 1500 meters away from the Port de la Houle.
    To get around: on foot, by bike or by car, your choice!
    Supermarket: 5 minutes by car

    - Our accommodation has 3 stars classification and according to the local laws, we have to collect the tourist taxes from our hosts. The cost is 1.2 euros per person per night. We kindly ask you to prepare the exact amount in cash or by check at your arrival. Thank you for your understanding!

Très bon séjour chez Jade. Excellent emplacement face à la mer. L'appartement est propre et décoré avec goût.Petit bémol, il faut enlever les draps avant le départ alors que le ménage est facturé. A part ça tout était parfait.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in toller, ruhiger Lage. Es war alles so wie beschrieben, die Terrasse befindet sich nicht direkt am Haus, ist aber ebenfalls wie beschrieben und auf denn Fotos zu sehen. Die Nachbarn (Erdgeschoss) sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.Dass die Parkplätze nicht privat sind ist kein Problem, es sind immer verfügbare in der Nähe. Aus- und einladen direkt vor dem Haus ist möglich. Eine wirklich schöne Wohnung mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Sollten Infos zum Check-in fehlen: einfach die Eigentümerin anschreiben, Antwort kommt dann innerhalb kurzer Zeit

Something amiss

1) There was no communication prior to arrival. I had to reach out to the owner for arrival specifics. 2) Hard to find, as the address does not appear on GPS, it is one of 3 apartments in a 3 story building, and has no place to even pull out of the street. 3) No parking. You will have to park at the trailhead about 400 meters further down the street. 4)The downstairs apartment neighbors have a dog which lunged at me when I opened the door (once we found it). These neighbors clearly do not like the presence of a short term rental. They were unhelpful and openly belligerent. 5) The apartment smelled like mold and sewage. the bedclothes were moldy. 6) There is no guestbook. When I asked for the wifi, the owner said "check the guestbook" 7) Despite all this, this owner had the GALL to charge an extra cleaning fee, falsely claiming that they required 5 hours to clean. Total SCAM. WE left this place as clean as all the other places we have stayed. Do not rent this! I am also making a direct complaint to VRBO.

Accès direct au chemin des douaniers et escaliers des lutins. Proche port. À 10 min de la pointe du Grouin ou des plages. Mont St Michel à 45min. Appartement très bien équipé en literie, vaisselle. Très calme

Wonderful stay

The apartment was very comfortable, with an astonishing view. A well equipped kitchen was most welcome since I cook and most rentals are sparse with decent equipment. Both bathrooms were spacious and most importantly luxurious. Jade was a great host, answered my questions promptly. I would highly recommend this property.

Très bien mais

L'appartement est très bien et très fonctionnel. Superbement équipé Malgré tout, grosse différence de surface entre les deux chambres et sdb . Une des deux chambres est beaucoup plus petite que l'autre. Jardin uniquement accessible par un chemin de remembrement car première partie réservée aux propriétaires. Malgré que annoncé, pas de parking privé. Nous avons pu stationner notre voiture à proximité sauf une ou deux fois (plus de place) mais toujours sur la voie publique. Je trouve que ce détail devrait être précisé. Enfin, magnifique vue sur la mer et accès facile au chemin des douaniers pour de belles promenades.

Schön, aber...

... Die Wohnung sieht aus wie auf den Bildern und ist gut und modern ausgestattet. Wir hatten anhand des Inserates allerdings erwartet, dass wir einen großen Garten nutzen können. Man kann allerdings nur einen kleinen Teil des Gartens nutzen, der sich in der prallen Sonne befindet ohne jegliche Sitzmöglichkeiten. Für uns mit 2 kleinen Kindern war das ungünstig. Wir konnten den Garten nicht nutzen. Den Rest des Gartens nutzen die Mieter, die in DER Wohnung unter der Ferienwohnung leben. Außerdem sind wir davon ausgegangen den Strand direkt vom GARTEN aus zu erreichen. Das kann man auch allerdings ist der Weg teilweise sehr steil und unwegsam und mit kleinen Kindern schwer zu überwinden. Man läuft so etwa 15 Minuten zum Steinstrände. Alles in allem waren wir etwas enttäuscht und für uns hat sich der hohe Preis nicht gelohnt. Parkplätze sind nur auf der Straße vor dem Haus vorhanden.

Emplacement et cadre exceptionnels.

Communication très facile avec Jade. Appartement très propre, parfaitement équipé. Accueil très sympathique. Emplacement rêvé pour se ressourcer au calme avec vue sur la mer. Proche du centre ville.
