Very dirty cottage, no hot water or usable dishes (all chipped) pick someone else for a more pleasant stay !

We are delighted that you have left this review as it gives us the opportunity to respond.
The reason there was no hot water on your first morning at the property is because 2 of you had spent over 30 minutes in the shower and emptied the tank. As you had taken your shower after the hot water had gone off, the tank didn’t reheat. We established all this during your phone call to us to report the problem and it was easily rectified by us offering to leave the hot water on all day for you and advising you to allow time for the tank to reheat if you were going to spend so long in the shower! As we didn’t hear from you again during your stay, we assumed that the problem was resolved.
With regards to the rest of your comments, we feel that this is in retaliation to us trying to withhold some of your deposit after the truly disrespectful state you left our property in on your departure. To quote my cleaner: “I have never seen a holiday rental left in such a disgraceful state!”
I hope that future holiday makers will look at all our other excellent reviews and they make their own decision on the true standard of our property.
