A great Tusacan holiday
A beautiful house in a fabulous medieval village, very clean and well appointed. The owners Giuseppe and Barbara were amazing and showed us everything when we arrived to make our stay as comfortable as ever, Giuseppe spoke very good English and was extremely attentive in making our stay an enjoyable one. The house is in Vicopisano and it's a great base for exploring Pisa, Florence, Lucca (try a bicycle or quadricycle ride around the walls) , Livorno, Volterra and Siena. The village itself has amazing historical importance and we loved exploring the Rocca Del Brunelleschi which was right above Casa Del Pretorio as our guide (Ester) was fabulous. If you want a beach there was Marina Di Pisa about 30 minutes drive away and it was very safe and enclosed, there was also a lake at Pontedera which was clean and safe for children. Don't miss the Piaggio museum which is free and so colourful, well worth a visit. We stayed for 2 weeks and didn't manage to get to the olive farm nearby and revisit some of the lovely towns such as Florence and restaurants in Vicopisano so we will have to go back. The views are amazing and it is a true Tuscan delight. Marie was always very helpful we had any questions. We, including 2 teenage boys loved it.
