I had a terrible experience with the incompetent staff of this hotel. When I arrived at 9 pm after a long journey and just wanted to go sleeping, it took more than 1 hour to check in. The receptionist told me that the room wasn't ready yet - first it had to be cleaned. And furthermore she wouldn't believe that I had already paid through hotels.com, even though I showed her my receipt. After a lot of talking, interference of another staff member and some phone calls, I could finally get the room. The following day another receptionist stopped me and said that I hadn't paid my bill and then I had to explain again and only after another phone call I could refute these accusations. This receptionist, who was also very impolite, refused even to apologize for the inconvenience. So if you don't want to waste a lot of time with incompetent and impolite receptionists, then I would strongly recommend you to find another hotel in Tijuana - there are many other options than Hotel Baja.
