Hello, I stayed at Hotel Sainte Beuve from 20 to 23 February. The hotel was advertised as 4 stars but all in all does not deserve even 3 stars. The rooms were dirty, the facilities were old and needed a revamp. The room was cold and the heating was not working properly. I went with my 7-month-old baby and in the elevator was not even space for the cot...we had to take the baby and carry her in the lift waking her up every time if she was sleeping. The bathroom was cold as the window did not close properly plus the sink in the bathroom was clogged the first day, which is insane for a 4 star hotel. We only had breakfast once and they had the courage to charge 18 euros for a miserable and small breakfast, with only fruit, a small yogurt and coffee.. only a la carte, served in the hotel reception, not even in a dedicated room.This hotel was expensive. I had to pay for my upgrade for the deluxe room which i regret so much and the taxes at the hotel more than 130 euro ....at the end this hotel was really expensive but it is not worth a penny. The staff at the reception is ok but when I asked about some free bath products they did not know what I was talking about...in a 4 star hotel..I did not even find a hand soap in the room...I feel like I have been robbed of my money. The room was not clean I found other people hair on the pillow the first day I got in....nothing screamed 4 star in there, max was a 3 star stay...very disappointed, dont be deceived from the pictures online

Dear guest, we are very surprised that you had such a bad experience and such problems at the hotel without informing us during yourstay.Your review does not reflect other guest reviews we usually have and that are very positives all the time.Obviously, you didn't like the hotel at all, its style, its atmosphere and its rooms. The heating works perfectly well (February is the winter, how could we leave our guests without heating?, the windows close well (we have a service of maintenance in the hotel) and ourrooms have the reputation for being very clean (we are extremely vigilant onthis point and we are working with the same cleaning team for 12 years). Sorry for the elevator but yes it is small, like all the elevators in small narrow Haussmanian buildings in Paris. We are typical and authentic boutique hotel so for big lifts, it is better to choose big hotel of more than 100 rooms, like Mariott or Novotel.You benefited from a very attractive promotional rate and my team informed me that they did everything to meet your expectations all the time, and that you did not seem satisfied with your baby. I am staying at your disposal if you wish to exchange outside Expedia and that we find a solution for you. Best regards.
