I liked the roominess of our accommodations. Though it is an old building, the rooms weren’t musty. The bed was comfortable. The lobby was spacious with high and ornate ceilings. The building itself is a landmark. They were remodeling parts of the lobby, so that area was noisy at times, but did not affect our stay.
When we first walked into our room, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The young woman at the desk said there were no other rooms available and did not seem too concerned, so we endured that for one night. However, the next day, the woman at the desk was extremely helpful when I talked to her, and found us a smoke-free room Immediately. Thanks to her, I can give our stay at the Bigelow high marks!
