My room came with free parking and 1 drink for 2 per stay. Check-in was fantastic, Harry was a pleasure to deal with. Our room was nice, could be a little bit cleaner but over all great. There was a library at the hotel which was well decorated with most of the things you would need from a hotel library. When redeeming our free drinks from the bar, the staff insisted that our booking only came with 1 free drink even if it clearly stated 1 drink for 2 per stay on our booking. There was a buffet breakfast which is served at the restaurant of the hotel they owned across the road. The price indicated on their website is $20 pp. We called the restaurant to book but was advised to just walk in. The next day, when we came for breakfast, we were advised that breakfast is being served at a different hotel in the area that they owned. It was alright as it’s just 5 minutes away by foot. The breakfast was okay, I thought it was very good value for $20 pp. UNTIL we checked out - we were told that the breakfast is $35 pp. There was also something wrong with their card reader, our card kept getting declined - we were 100% sure there is sufficient funds and the lady at the reception kept yelling “it’s saying NO SUFFICIENT FUNDS”. Everyone was staring at us, it was so embarrassing. I kept telling her there is enough funds. After a number of tries with the tap and go, she did the transaction MANUALLY and it went through. Was very humiliating - will never come back.
