Hotel was misrepresented as having a pool and a spa by Ebookers when neither were true. We had to pay to upgrade to have access to a room with a private pool which was ultimately unusable due to the water temperature. Most frustratingly the customer service from the senior management team were simply appalling. Rather than discuss our concerns, they accused us of lying and used intimidating language/tone. 5 star service this is not. I would expect and have experienced better service in a Premier Inn! In addition to the misleading advertising of the hotel, the hotel provided crib collapsed during the night with our infant son asleep inside it. Fortunately he didn’t suffer injury but again the hotel staff seemed entirely unconcerned about their failing. In addition to this, the hotel had set up the crib beneath a loose blind cord which further highlighted a clear lack of regard for infant safety. The food was generally very good but the menu was relatively repetitive after the first couple of meals. Beware if you’re not comfortable around dogs that wild dogs roam the restaurant area during meal times. The Maitre D’ was probably one of the few members of staff who actually provided the level of service you would expect for a 5* hotel. Stay elsewhere!
