Stay in Brainerd if you can

My brother also stayed at this hotel and had a better experience. I stayed in room #123... It's not updated, it's right by the door, it has an ancient heater right outside that sounds like an airplane starting to take off. Between the heater and the door, I didn't get much sleep. The bed has seen better days. All three pillows were different, but I was able to find one that worked for me. There was gray staining on the edge of the carpet that would suggest that the vacuum doesn't work well (my brother had new carpet). The sink was that old fake marble and was crazed with black stains. The water pressure was good, but the temperature was unreliable depending on the day. My curtain lining had cigaret burn holes which once had duct tape, but that was gone too. I had a single queen, my brother had a double queen and his total bill was way less, which didn't make sense. The breakfast is very unconventional: cold boiled eggs, high sugar yogurt, waffles, milk, donuts... No scrambles eggs. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places to stay in Aitkin. My aunt stayed at the Ripple because she had dogs and wouldn't recommend it either.
