Family Adventure
The hotel is close to the airport but its way out of town so you can spend some time travelling to sights. We had booked the free Hotel shuttle bus to collect us from the airport as we were arriving at 2:30am and on arrival we were met by a hotel representative who helped us through immigration which was unexpected but well worth it, as it was quick. The hotel was very good and the facilities for the children excellent with 4 outdoor pools, one with a wave machinea and 2 heated. This was the reason for our choice of hotel, so that we could have one day sight seeing with 2 days by the pool to give the kids a break. Service in the resurants was good although by the pool it was comically slow at times but as we were relaxing, so it was no big deal for us. The hotel has a regular shuttle bus service into town to the Bazar and the Egyptian museum and tours can be booked with the very helpful concierge. Overall our stay was enjoyable with nothing to complain about.

Not JW standard.But one of the better ones in Egypt.
Not the best Marriott I’ve been to. Surely not a JW. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite.At first I was impressed by the size of the room, but soon I discovered some mildew and soap scum in the bathroom and dust on the furniture.However the staff was very friendly. Very close to airport and belt highway so you miss out on the crazy Cairo traffic.Good for business travel, not for tourists far from downtown Cairo.Not that bad for Egypt.
