A good choice in Moscow
The room was modern, clean and functional. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are better than home. Had a great night sleep and felt rested. Also the fitness center and pool, sauna helped feel refreshed. Suggest you eat out since the bars and restaurants are horribly expensive and not good value for money. The Europa Shopping Center is 200 meters away offering good choice of restaurants.

Great hotel - but Moscow Prices
The hotel itself was very pleasant, and everything one would expect from a 4*. Yes the Health Club and pool were a little dated - but they had all the equipment you wanted and they were open until 10pm. The location was excellent - next door to Kievskaya train/metro station and the Europe shopping mall (largest in Moscow). However the prices were phenomenal!!! "Cinema prices" is the only way I can describe it - its not a case of paying £14 for a bowl of pasta in a fine dining restaurant, but paying £14 for a bowl of pasta that you could get at Bella Pasta for £6.50 (or £1.50 in Icelands). It wasnt just the hotel though, ALL of Moscow is like that - to the point where eating at the airport with "ordinary airport prices" seemed reasonable! We would definitely recommend the hotel and Moscow, (and also suggest that to reach there from the airport you take the Airport Express to Paletskaya, do a brief subway walk to the metro (5 mins) and then the circle (brown) line round to Kievskaya instead of taking a taxi - £8 for public transport rather than £40 for a taxi...) but advise everyone to budget their trip very carefully first!

Outdated Hotel
Conveniently located near a metro stop but the gate around the hotel makes you walk in a big circle to get there. Dont ask hotel for a taxi because they are triple the price of flagging one on the street (we flagged a taxi on the street and it cost 500 Rubles compared to what the hotel quoted us at 1500 Ruble). And I have never been to a hotel where the housekeeper left a half a cup of tea sitting and an empty beer can (from the night before) sitting by our bedside. We experienced another bizarre experience when asking for help to book our tickets to the ballet. There was a glob of White Out on the place where the price of the ticket should be located. I was able to scratch it off to see that the ticket cost 800 Rubles though we paid 2000 Rubles. Lastly, the furniture was long outdated, both in the rooms and in the lobby. On the positive side, the receptionists at check-in and check-out were lovely and efficient.
