Not really impressed
Found most of the staff abrupt. The room and bathroom was clean but in need of a lot of TLC as decor and funiture looked very tired. I needed to use the hotel room telephone to phone home to enquire after a very sick relative I was not impressed when I got the bill and there was a 75% hotel surcharge on top of the network provider charge. This surcharge was not displayed anywhere in the room or hotel information book in room. I was charged in excess of £250 for four very short phone calls. The only thing that could not be faulted about this hotel was its location.

Nice, But not good enough
I know this wasn’t a 5 star hotel and I shouldn’t expect it to be a luxurious experience but let’s get one thing straight... I don’t care what star hotel you stay in, it should be clean- Cleanliness is a human right. I’ve stayed in many 2 or 3 star hotels across the United States and I have never been in a dirty hotel like this one. The room smelt like dirty laundry and the bathroom smelt like mould. That wasn’t the worst of it- when it was time for a shower (another human right) there was very little water pressure I could barely wash the shampoo out of my hair. There were dust bunnies in the corners and under the desk.Oh and there was no plug for the tub so I couldn’t even have a bath. I would have for sure paid extra to be in a better hotel. That being said, the location was awesome. It was close to everything and we barely spent any time in the hotel but instead of coming "home" to a nice clean hotel room with a bath to end my long day I was sadly disappointed. Anyway, if you decide you want to save a few bucks, be close to everything and want to compromise cleanliness go ahead and book here but if you want to have a decent shower and not smell mould I do not recommend this hotel. Remember the transit system in New York is amazing and super easy so it doesn’t take long to get anywhere. So the hotel’s location isn’t the selling point.
