20 Minutes to Downtown DC
If you want to head to Washington and have a family of 4 (or 5) the Residence Inn in Herndon is a very nice hotel to stay with. The hotel is situated in Herndon which is right beside Reston Virginia and 20 minutes via highway 276 to downtown DC. Highway 267 links up to highway 66 which eventually becomes Constitution avenue. The hotel grounds were covered in snow when we went but you could see the pool and tennis/Bball court locations. Each room has a kitchenette and the nicest surprise was that a hot/cold breakfast was included in the price. We intend to return to this hotel during the summer for another extended visit.

Convenient location
Hotel was great - no complaints. We opted for paying $10 more per night to get the larger room with full breakfast buffet. There’s no fitness center on site but they do have an agreement with a health club company nearby for those so inclined. It’s only 30 min from downtown Washington DC if you want to take in the sights. I was here for a personal stay during the holiday weekend and I’d have no hesitation to return here again.

Convenient Location
This hotel is conveniently located to Dulles Airport and shopping in Fairfax and Louden Counties. The best Residence Inn I’ve ever stayed in. Wish they’d extend weekend breakfast hours (go back to the way it used to be).
