great place in Sacramento
I was very pleased with this hotel, clean comfortable room. Friendly staff. I asked for extra tea and supplies for the coffee maker and plenty of everything was brought right up to my room. The exercise facility was just fine, small but adequate. My meeting was near the Capitol, and this was in easy walking distance, they printed me a map to my destination. Staff was very helpful in arranging transportation as I needed it also. I loved watching the Olympics on the flat screen TV from the comfy bed, with the remote all to myself.

Great, unique hotel in downtown
The rooms are all political themed, which was fantastic to experience. The beds were really comfortable, and best of all, the hotel was in a great location close to everything! I would definitely return when I go back to Sacramento.

Bring Your Earplugs
This is a charming hotel in a beautiful old building. It is also a bit noisy. The rooms seem to be poorly insulated to sounds from the hallway. While in the room, sounds of footsteps, conversations, and of clanging of room service dishes can be heard coming from the hallway. There was also some mechanical noise heard below my room (I was on the 13th floor). it sounded like a distant methodical hammering or pounding, every 30-60 seconds for hours. My friend staying in another room had the same complaint. I actually had to change rooms because of the noise, moved to the 8th floor, that seemed to help a bit but it was still noisy. Other than that, no real complaints.
