Expectations met.
The hotel was fairly easy to find with a good map of the area. It’s a good 20-30 minute walk from the main square but you can use the Metro system, bus service or tram line which are all cheap and easy to use. The hotel met all our expectations the rooms were warm and clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Hotel Galileo, a liltle walk saves alot of money!
The Hotel Galileo is a very nice place. It is clean and stylish and in a nice neighborhood. Absolutely no problems. The in-room safebox, hotel internet, English-speaking staff all made things easy. Prague is a very much a city for walking. With this in mind, know that Galileo is lilttle bit of a walk (10-15 min) from Wenceslas Square if that is your main daily destination. The Nemesti Miru metro and the street trams are very close though. I enjoyed walking to the hotel everyday, but depending on your fitness, you may want to stay closer to the town centers. Very close local attractions are Club Radost and a nice restaurant named Zvonarka (on Safariska). So you will experience a few places off the super-beaten path by staying here. Which is good. Also, on your walk back there are several mini-marts (potraviny) and liquor stores (on Belehradska) that are alot cheaper than stores in the city centers. I would definitely stay there again. You get more for your money here at Galileo simply because it’s just a few blocks removed from downtown. It’s a nicer place for less money than you will pay in Male Strana, or near the Narondi or Wensceslas squares.

Great hotel for the price
A party of 6 of us, all stayed at the Galileo and all loved the hotel. A great hotel, very spacious rooms, very clean, great showers with plenty of hot water. Staff extremely helpful. Good breakfast in the morning, basic but plenty of choice, help yourself to as much as you like. Would definately go back.
