Perfect!
My husband and I are a retired couple who recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Prague and we rate our experience at the King Charles Boutique Hotel Residence as outstanding! We loved everything about it. . .from the lovely decor of the room and tasty and generous breakfast to the friendly, helpful staff, quiet location and close proximity to the tram. We highly recommend this hotel. Also, be aware that during the entire month of December, there are special markets and international entertainment available in different parts of the city.

Good quality hotel although a fair way from the centre of town
Great hotel although thought it was near to the main castle so the 25 minute walk into town was a surprise! The tram stops near by but walking long the river was pleasant so we only got a taxi back once after a late night (approx £30). Buffet breakfast wasn’t great but if you’re hungry you could find something to eat. Given the price, the location and standard of breakfast is a good compromise.
Go in December- the christmas markets were up and we didn’t see one stag night

Would definitely stay at the King Charles again
If I make it back to Prague again (before they switch to the Euro), I will definitely stay at the King Charles Boutique Residence again. The location is great - just a short tram ride to the city center. The tram stop is a minute’s walk away. The local neighborhood has some very good places to eat, a pharmacy, a bank machine, a small grocery store...everything you need after a tiring day of site-seeing. I wouldn’t trade this for the run-down, noisy, city center hotel ever. A few things could’ve made my stay a bit more comfortable. The room that we were in didn’t have enough hot water for both of us to have a full bath in the same evening. Having a shower would’ve been even better because it’s faster. The furniture was too bulky for the room and we kept barking our shins and stubbing our toes on the beds. The continental breakfast was good, but the same every day. Could’ve used some variety other than just in the way the eggs were cooked. The hotel service was very good in general. Helpful, English-speaking, and courteous. However, I did have an issue one evening: I received a phone call from the U.S. and the caller was told that I couldn’t be found at that hotel! Wouldn’t have been good if there was an emergency. But don’t get me wrong, I was happy with our choice and would definitely stay there again. If you’re looking for clean and affordable with a bit of luxury, this is the place for you.
